Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Vlad Olaru
I tried to do my best even if i am not so good at painting!
His story is something like this: he had an accident of some kind an din a world of missery and war, he gets himself “fixed” with the missing bodyparts, all made from scrap! The only organic remainings are his head and neck partially, his right-side chest and parts from his leg-muscles!
This is what i had in mind! Comments please!
i hope u can understand this because it’s a little bit unclear esspecialy with details!
But more detail when i’ll do the modeling!
also his “heart” is arificial, pumping blood through the numerous pipes that he has!
The brain also needs special care and special fluids!

not a bad start, i think you potentially have a good concept. Keep working out the details in your sketch.
i think maybe there needs to be more focus on one item such as the heart, which reinforces all the secondary elements. That way there’s not a lot of random little gadgets everywhere, but instead some sense of purpose was thought out when he was rebuilt.
hope that makes sense, best of luck.
thanks for the comment! and yes i too want to make it more detailed but i find it hard with my current painting skills!
and the pencil with witch i’ve drawn this was a little not very sharp so i couldn’t get very exact lines but i’ll work on it!
and don’t let me stop you from sharing your opinions!:wavey:
that’s the whole purpose of these challenges: improving your skills…see my thread and you’ll see i still have a long way to go as well.
Salve amice,
I think that the idea is common- you know, accident, body parts replaced…- but depending on the interpretation you give to it, it can become very interesting. Think about who this guy is and why was he worth saving: is he rich, smart/genius maybe, or is he just a normal guy who benefited from an experiment…
very interesting and after giving it a thought i found out that u are right!
i must rethink this!
thank you!
