Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Valérian Martinet
Hello guys !
Firstly, sorry if I do mistakes, I’m still learning english…
I come from the frenchcinema4d forum, and so I’m a Cinema4D user. I’m just a beginner, I started 3D five month ago, on November.
I join you for the fun, only for it, and not for competition (hum I can’t…).
So here is my idea : I’d like to make a Tibetan monk who would be hovering thanks to a funny machine : The Bouddha Machine !
As you can see on my “sketch” (Mmmh yes I don’t draw very good), the machine would be controlled by his brain (wow it’s magic !). It’s not very clear in my head, but it’s coming…
I hope I’ll make you laugh.
Important : it’s not a religion mockery, just a fun idea
Good luck to everybody !

Hi !
Here is what I have done today. This bot is not yet boned, but I’m going to do it to move its arms like I’d like.
i suppose it’s a good start for now…something i need to :just start…
there’s not much here to critique yet, so hopefully we’ll keep seeing some updates…one thing i noticed was that in the sketch the arms were the same height as the circles of these little machines, but in the model they’re lower. Not sure if that matters for your design or not. keep at it!
Thanks bigfatclown, I didn’t see it. So I’ve modified the arms, and boned them to move them as I want.
And I’ve begun the Monk too. I’ve just finished the nose (it’s the first human head I make). I’ll show it later, when it’ll be more successful.
hi munchou,
is that monk sitting cross-legged on the machine, or is he connected on it?
anyway its a funny idea. also these nice “baloonlike” robots i like most.
lets see some more modeling.

Hi all !
So, this is the beginning of my tibetan monk…
The first screen shows how I started (with difficulty so :o), the others are better, he is looking like a comic monk, I like it.
Sorry for my slowness.
Hope you like.

Thx Sascha:p
