life at all costs is a image about a person being kept alive by a machine thats replaced most of the organs in the body… while the persons mind is plugged in to a network… or perhaps just watching some tv in this desolite world where the surface is destroyed… the machine travels in caves picking mushrooms and any bio mass it can get ahold of prosses it and feeds it to the person in the machines… hopefully keeping them alive till the surface of the planet repairs it self… or mostlikaly untill the machine just stops working

My name is Tyler… im an Alaskan based Lightwave user… new to cg and modeling in general… I have very poor English skills so bear with me as i try to be as descriptave as i can about my work.

Started with a subpatched cube (soften pollygon i think in maya not sure for other 3d programs) then beveled the cube in all directions to get the shape it has now… alot of beveling… just the shell of the machine keeping hte person alive

i have partialy textured it at this point but i modeled the tubes for the most part to get placemetn for when i have the person modeled

modeled and textured person… just a quicky used old reference photos… didnt model any feet since you wouldnt see them

i forgot to make the feeder part the shroomies go in to… lol well here it is

i am still working on how the machine plugs in to the person… i just had to get everything colored and get the feel down to visualise how it should look at the skin connection area

big volume light in back a few small ones on top of where teh machine will be so you can see it
