Hi all,
normally I shouldn’t do this, because I am in the final stage of my PhD thesis and should work day and night on it, but RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.
Here is my concept. It is a mite mechanically enhanced to protect the skin of its host against attack of parasites.
This is my first challenge ever and I hope I will find the time to complete my entry.

Nice idea! But ive seen a few ‘modifyed insects’ already here. Id love to see your new spin on the theme!

Year, that’s true. When I first heard about this challenge my first idea was to model a human mechanically enhanced to live underwater. But after browsing through all the entries I found several threads with the same or similar idea. Then I start thinking about my mite, but after I finished the concept I recognized that in the meantime there were several new threads with insects.
May be I think about something different. I just now discovered there is another mite in the game posted while I was working on my concept. :cry:

Ok, I have a new idea. Let’s hope nobody had the same or a similar idea before me:

He was the base of the Bremer Stadtmusikanten (Bremer Town Musicians) but the day he went to that “Apocalyptica” concert changed his live. He left the band and started a solo career. Unfortunately nobody took any note of him. But that changed dramatically as he met that strange scientist. Now he sometimes wish back the old quite times with his three friends.

I like the sketch a lot. They left him with a donkey head hahah. Good luck in the contest.

Hi,
I start modeling. It’s just the basic shape of the head and a very rough model of the bass. My time is very limited so it will take some time until the next update.

Ok, I found the time to model a little bit more. This time I started with one of the robotic arms.
I would be very happy about some comments & critics.

I changed the style of the hands. Now they look more the way the rest looks like.

One more update for the donkey. The shoulders are changed, because I could not get them in the right position the way they had been before.
I hope that I will soon be able to start texturing. That will be challenging, because I never did any texturing in this Program before.
