Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: tonio freitag
i’m not planning on torturing her but some machine-parts have to be added - i have no choice. it won’t be completely painless
Thank’s buddy now i can go sleep peacefully…:wise:
angel --> thanks for encouraging me. i hope i can meet your expectations. (never mind my own expectations)
Love that quote from Tomas Watson Jr.:
Do what you love, love what you do,
to deliever more, than you promise.
and from what I can see, you doin’ every click with much love, so i think you’ll show up with a great piece of High End CG Art, no doubt! Keep et up, Lass krachen Alter
it certainly is a nice quote. but my favorite is:
ever tried? ever failed? no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.
- samuel beckett
Well, mine actually works like this:
If it won’t fit, force it!
If it breaks, it had to be replaced anyways…
Just kidding. Massive meshworx take time and patience, and clean modeling is the base for every next step. Keep up the great work, and now…
I crumble back to mine to bring my Girly a step closer to where she’s meant to be…
Hey Shouit! This is looking great. The pose has expression and I think it will lead to a nice piece. The curves of the mechanical part should fit well into the overall look of this. I’m a fan of smooth modeling, so I’ll keep my eye on the progress of your stuff! ![]()
thanx a lot sand.
your smooth modeling is also really great. i’ll keep looking for updates of your work.
The girl and the whole concept is looking very interesting . The model process is coming along quite good, Smooth and clean . The looks fantastic
Keep Rocking man
We want more ![]()
i just started the basic layout of the machine-parts. feel free to c&c. and don’t worry - i will deal with the hands and feet shortly
Looks very good, The egg makes a light but still compact impression, great proportions all over.
A very strong work and a great layout. looking forward 4 more!

Be careful not to make her breasts your focal point. Why can’t any of the women in 3D be clothed?
Just wondering…
If she was in this device thing for long periods, try and put her in a more natural/comfortable pose.
If it’s to keep her alive, wouldn’t she be lying down?
However I do love the placement of your machine parts. The whole egg shape makes for a really nice composition.
angel --> thanks man, there will be more soon.
pixel --> actually the nakedness bothers me also. its so pretentious, everyone does it. the thing is that one is always trying to learn and practice - human anatomy is still one of the biggest challenges (not that clothing would be easy). i’m still thinking about covering the breasts, even if they look so great
the concept of the device is mainly to look good. i explained in the concept that a human in “the egg” can’t be kept alive over a long period anyways. so why bother. and since when do companys build things that are meant to last.
and i have to admid one other thing: i didn’t really trust my modeling abilities and my anatomic knowledge. so i took a reference picture for the pose: the entire thing is build around that pose - to change it would mean to start all over and besides: i like it :surprised
thanks for the comment pixel. the first one that is not blinded by the naked beauty
Hi Shouit,
All i see here lot of enthusiastic work. of course breasts are perfect, but as it looks composition is well too. Maybe there is less contact with the body. I mean at the moment it’s not enough clear what the egg is doing with the body. now it looks the egg is holded by her hands. cool clothing would be fine too.
by the way CONGRATULATION!!!
Maybe add some sort of support, like she’s been forced into that pose. Just have a quick play, see if you can come up with anything that works.
One of these supports could cover the breasts…even though they look so good
wow, this is looking great!! bravo and good luck for your next steps:thumbsup: youre awesome!
it is not a good day for creativity. haven’t done much…

next i will start modeling the machineparts. i’m still not sure what exactly they will look like. i will be as much surprised as you will be…
Tonio…I think you should step back for just a moment at this time.It seems you are at a crossroads in design…Personally I love the freedom of going with as little ceiling as possible creativity wise, with as little constraints design wise or concept wise as possible…But you should give a little thought into basic machine design now,at least a foundation, and than go for your work with at least a small blueprint in mind, than allow your creativity to expand on that as you go…I think this would be well worth it for you,as you have a very nice creation here that deserves extra attention from this point as well…OK,I’ll be looking for more, very nice thus far…:buttrock:
thanks for your kind words virtuoso. i think you are absolutely right. i have to draw a few more concepts before i continue because i did already realized my original concept. i haven’t given much thought to the actual machine-design. i hope to be able to post some concepts soon and to discuss them with you.
