this is my first concept sketch. it may look strange now but it will all make sense in time…

Interesting… what is it?

I’m trying to figure out whether its a mining device or a hybernation chamber of some sort. It also looks like a giant hair clamp… anyway u got me going here

the purpose of the machine is to keep the body alive, while at the same time the brain is used to process data. even in the future, the human brain has in some ways still more capacity than the fastest processor. finally they found a way to use that power…

i’m still working on the concept. in the end, the purpose of the machine should become clear, by just looking at the picture. this first sketch was only for the cool look :slight_smile:

At first i thought it was her attached in a big wheel-inside the a big mono wheel .

  • sort of she looks possibly a huge human wall ornament?
    nice smooth sketch too. good lines.

I like your sketch. Very clean, very precise. The concept is really solid too. You said the idea will be clear without explanation in the finall piece. I was just wondering how you would get that across? Gonna have a keyboard plugged in her bellybutton? :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll be keeping an eye on your progress. :thumbsup:

CLONEOPS > the wallornament is a good guess, because my main intention was the look of the thing. and that is also the problem because i came up with the concept after the sketch - so i propably will have trouble to bring everything together in the end.

Kico > i am wondering myself how i will get that across. :slight_smile:

well you really need to have the machine to do something that is useful to her purpose.
maybe find some extra usefulness.
connect the two.
make a list of stuff 2 kinds of things,-use the phone book
or? get a list of proffesions and make the machine help her somehow?

i made another concept sketch. the first one wasn’t very understandable. the poor woman was one of the last humans that were legally bought by the GENKAMI corporation. the device wich was build around her was called “the egg” for obvious reasons. it had a big cluster of CPUs that were synchronized via the brain of a human being. that way the human was totally neutralized. once put in the machine he or she could never regain conciousness. also the brain could not stand the stress for a long time - so the livespan of these eggs was less than 6 months. but still they paid off because the neural connections of the human brain could not be rebuild by mechanic devices like today. since we finally developed the “faster-than-brain-technology” we no longer need to use such babaric methods to build high-speed computers…

i know there is not much to see yet. but i thought this way everyone who cares can follow the progress.
any ideas who the reference might be? :slight_smile:

its polygon modeling all the way. i started with a plane from the left viewport. maybe i’ll use patch modeling for the rest of the body - but maybe not. i have the feeling that the sudivision tools in max give me the best control over what i create…

this is a great modelin, love the detail on the ears, dont know why she reminds me Laetitia Casta, hope the body looks also like her:drool: , amazing modeling mate:thumbsup:
