Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Tim Watts
A brief story, many years ago this man was convicted of murder, the victim`s father arranged for the man to be kept alive eternally to view the life he took.
A quick practice reply to myself, never been involved with a message board before, or competition such as this. Pretty keen to give it all a go and help out where possible, and be helped out where possible. Thanks and good luck to everyone here.
The murdered person will be shown in old framed portraits that surround the scene. Time permitting, I might make the victim visible in the coffin, will see how we go
i like the idea too. its like in the old greek story of tantalus, he sees his release of his pain in front of him but he will never be able to reach it.
Its a great symbolism i like it extremely.
go on an model cause this is :buttrock:
greets

Some more rough sketches. This one is the punished villain. Hes a little malnourished from years of just hangin around. Will have some modelling work up soon, when I get a minute from work to do some.
Started modelling the head. My first real attempt at doing a head, usually doing architectural stuff. Any advise etc is welcomed.
Quick render with some notes etc. Still needs plenty of work, learning as I go, trial and error style
Refined my model a little more and tweaked the shape a little. Got plenty of poly`s to add more detail yet.
The torso is basically there now. Just need to add the mechanical elements etc where it is linked into the machine. Not before posing it…somehow.
Pretty good face for a first shot …never done one myself.yet.
the face is a-1 really has the anguished look…
but he lacks orb- eyelids…needs more wrinkles in forehead
because his eyes are bugged open.
-looked like he had a drill going into his head with the pipe thing on top …aaaaahhhhhhh!!!
hard to see on the pic but looks like is calfs are turned in to much…
enough crit…keep on this guy he has a great featured face and the body looks like it has prisoner and suffering all over it.
rock an a roll…
Taking a break from the figures, unwind my brain a little. Here is the coffin. Still need to add the pillows and sheets etc that will surround the body.
If anyone has some tips for doing the sheets etc I`d appreciate it heaps. Was thinking of using reactor or maybe doing it all manually
