First I’d like to say good luck to everyone!

Hopefully I will have time to actually finish this challenge.

I am going to crank out a number of concepts before I finally settle on something. Here’s number one:

Going the punishment/control route with this one. Convict of the future on trash collection duty. Their enhancements also act as a means of control, making them a human garbage disposal unit and recycler, but against their will. Basic rundown:
Skeleton replaced with steel, and then extended beyond their limbs. The extended arms have gripper and other snazzy trash collecting implements. They have a tail that can stab up loose pieces of trash. All this is deposited into a disposal unit that hangs from their torso. This unit is hooked back into its host, inorganic and organic waste being separated then intravenously feed back into the convict. All this gadgetry would seem to make them pretty deadly, but they are hardwired and remote controlled by prison security. What appears to be supports for their limbs are actually hydraulics that control their limbs and force them to move, it like a human remote control car! It’s basically constant torture for the convict. A little note: I have exposed wires connecting everything, which doesn’t really make sense, but I figure these guys are cheaply made, otherwise taxpayers would complain too much. All right here are some rough idea sketches, not actual concepts.

More ideas to come, as this one seems a little generic to me!
Cheers!

All right that first one was generic. I wanted something less in your face; a more streamline, futuristic design.

Advertising and steroids is what came to mind. In the future it has become legal to “juice” or take performance-enhancing drugs. This of course goes hand in hand with physical enhancements. So I created a track and field runner with modified legs designed after those of a cat. Companies like Nike and Reebok would design these legs; part of the body is a walking advertisement. The runner’s nostrils would be expanded for better air intake along with enhanced lung capacity and efficiency. Their skin would contain synthetic digital inks that could change into various advertisements. Lastly the performance enhancement drugs they use need to be injected at all times, it is highly habit forming. To do this they have a jack on the back of their necks where they can inject capsules of juice. The user can then “dose” wherever they feel the need or right before a race.

Again some roughs, haven’t worked out all the details, or just how visible the juicing system will be.

Oh and of course eighties hair has made a come back.

Nice concept…I like the advertising on the skin…

One last one here:
In fact I am going w/ this one.

Decided not to do a human, thought I may not even time to finish this challenge, so I decided to just have fun, and so damn it I am doing a monster! A genetically, mechanically altered, monster gone wrong in fact!

Not sure of the whole back story yet, coming up w/ that, something farm country, barn experiment, or maybe freak german experiment, not important yet, I have to keep concepting. ANYWAY…

This is a head concept SANS anything mechanical yet.

More to come soon!

#6

Still working this out, will add mechanical bits and finish the drawing!

#7

This baby is a color test, yes still no mechanical stuff, don;t worry its coming!

#8

wow looks really cool, is a good work, ill wait to see your mechanical stuff, keep on good work man,

#9

Added some mechanical bits. Decided to incorporate the juicer concept from one of my other ideas (see the thread). The juice is in a container/recycler in his back, getting pumped through his body. This causes the hump, disproportion and the veins which will be greenish? in color.
More may still change…

#10

This is more for me, figured I would post. Time to start modeling I think…
Comments? Anything? Anyone…

#11

WOW!!! Your sketch is awesome… really cool!!! very interesting.

#12

One more thing… In my opinion, I think his chest should be a little bigger… What do you think? This is just my opinion. Good Luck to you

Sorry for my english…

#13

Perhaps, but I don;t want to go for the comic book style super hero, I am thinknig his arms are a little too large for his body. I think I will work out these issues in the modeling stage, Thanks for the comments.

Also I am working on the back story, to give him some character.

#14

Alright, again I was not happy w/ the concept, so I am making a change. REad!:

Two warring alien species fought for domination. One are large and brutish creatures, the other are smaller, more intelligent, and technologically advanced. The smaller species also had more developed brain functions, such as telepathy or mind control. The smaller alien species won the war, but did not wipe out the large creatures, but instead used them to their advantage. Some of smaller alien species secrete a mind controlling fluid. This fluid is a powerful submissive sedative, something that slows the mind and makes the detainee commit to the controller’s will. These beings were attached to the larger creatures on their backs and feed the serum into their brains. Being that the secretion is somewhat of a sedative the small aliens have also developed a “juice”. This too is pumped through the creature’s bodies. It is a combination super steroid and amphetamine that “jack” up the large creatures and make them grow and mutate. Other mechanical enhancements have been added to the creatures, to make them sturdier and deadlier. All this makes them excellent ground control units for future planetary domination endeavors. Wha-hahaha!

I will do some concepts of the other alien species and how they are attached. But I am also going to start the modeling. Cheers!

I like seeing your concepts evolve… you are not stuck in just one stage or state of mind, keep growing, there is time  Can’t wait to see some more new sketches

#16

Yes ! Concept is very important .
I like your idea , the man with animal’s legs in machine form.

#17

great work i am realy impressed:bounce:
