:wavey: many thank for all of your comment so far, right now I’m working on Modeling my design but I have problem with softwares… umm… let say I’m learning Maya together with this Challenge… so many tools of maya still didn’t get in my head but I will try as best as possible… if anyone can give me a tip to get good rendering image in maya Please tell me…

Thank again… to everyone… I hope to post my 3D model soon…

Note: Umm… I’m used 3D MAX before and I will only use this software only I have to… it’s not because MAX is not good but I really want to Challenge myself with MAYA :buttrock:

Thank for all comments so far, Sorry that I didn’t have much time to reply or working on this since I also got lot of my other work to do so… but here is my first modeling! it’s a roller part of “MSS” Sorry if my model is not good. I’m still learning MAYA so any comments and tips are welcome :slight_smile:

Looking awesome so far:thumbsup:. Is he going to be cartoony or realistic? I could totally see it going either way. Modeding is spot on to you design so far. Are all his legs going to robo or just one? Cheerio!

Thank for your comment, So far I plan to do all the legs… but it’s depending on how my computer can perform… if all legs are too heavy!.. I will do just one but surely it’s will have to composite and redesign the final layout to make it look cool! (that every should do right?)

about my shade… I will do it for realistic… :thumbsup: hope to have time to finish the modeling soon :cry:

Very Interesting. Whats the reason, the Catarpilar is altered for?
:slight_smile: u already made some sort of story? (i remember the “spybug” in 5th element, laughed my wings of)
I like the legg, if i understood the construction right, this makes it the fastest caterpillar over the place. To avoid her birdproblems, i could imagine her havin some sort of mechanical spikes or blades for defense…

Hi, monsitj… as you expected. right now we have lot of work to too and this time I have my task doing maya for film that I was looking for… so I have to do it hard… and give lot of time for maya. but I didn’t forget about this Challenge, I still do it at home but it’s still have little problem on modeling. anyway, I wonder how did you done your Tranformer Robot project while you still have all work? do you went home direct after work? :shrug:

Sorry for lag of updated, for presented time… I have a lot of thing to do on my office stuffs and Hardly to find time to learn MAYA too… but lucky me! in my office had given me lot of maya work so I very happy for that.

OK! let come back on this submission, I continue on modeling a 2nd part of my designed (you can revised it from my sketch) which connenting to 360 Roller.
I modeling it from nurb which I still learning on it right now :slight_smile:

wish me luck on this! and I looking forword for more C&C

Here again! is another update of my modeling for this project, I’m finding that learning MAYA together with this Project quite a bit Hard for me. but I will Keep doing this… Hope my Maya’s Model skill is not that bad… T-T

Please give me a comment if you have… it’s will help me keep improving my Skill.

I find that your choice to take part in the contest while starting to learn using a 3D software is very courageous of your share.
Because of i no use maya i can’t do anything just motivate. !
