I can’t see what you’re talking about. The skulls are some of the best I’ve ever seen. They look very good (at least to me)

Textures in progress
Pose in progress
No lighting yet
Just a little touch of compositing on the picture, to have an idea of things to come…
I didn’t know in which milestone put this one.
Thanks to everyone for your support !
I hope I’ll manage to have the first “final renders” by the end of the week-end.
With posing and texturing complete of course.
And an interesting lighting too.
See ya !
HAAA!! Your last update is really impressive!!!
I’ve checked the word SLEEPing in the dictionary but i couldn’t find anything about that…maybe that was a CG dictionary:D
Cya,
Tremo
WHOOOAAAA!!! Impressive update mate:thumbsup: I really like this shoot go go go for the final one :bounce:
Here is my first shot about lighting !
There are many details to tweak.
Textures in progress though I think I won’t use that creepy red rusty ones made earlier. Not sure about that…
I need to preserve the shapes.
Norman, just:bowdown: you should to be proud of it!!
I like your light setup…she’s so proud, a real mistress:love:
I think you’re right about rusty textures…the’re good but sometimes better if you keep the shapes in the front and you have beautiful shapes and proportions.
Camera angle is:thumbsup:
Volumetric light is:thumbsup:
Breasts are::drool:
Cya,
Tremo
There is too many people in this challenge… difficult to see all !!!
I like your idea…and work etc…
It’s great.
May i suggest one little thing…The pose of character seems to be a little “rigid”…not enough dramatic…that could enhance your composition…but it’s a wip …so
Anyway…great work !![]()
Okay !
Finally the texturing process is over !
I could add more realism, work more on the textures etc but the software would crash more often than it already does :-D. And considering the lighting scheme, I don’t need ultra-realistic textures…at least for the petals.
Thanks for your words Goli !
Indeed, you’re right about my pose. I must say that though this is just a WIP I didn’t intend to change something about it.
But it was still bothering me…
So, I made an effort and worked (a little ;))on the lower part of her body, which was too straight I must admit.
(not easy to work on it, I have big problems with the plugin used to move that part easily without extensive use of bones :hmm:).
No images yet…coming soon.
I hope the picture are not too dark…
I will use multipass rendering methods to make the final image.
3 passes here (lights separated), I will probably have the character, petals and skulls on separate layers too.

Thank you for your words armel !!
I don’t sleep no more and my hands are merged with the computer !
See ya in the real world soon !
PS : quand est ce que tu apprends l’anglais ?
Since we fluently speak French, I thought that would be a little inappropriate to use english language to tell you how much I was impressed by your work.
But, if you insist, I can add one or two things about your picture, because you really deserve it. Your CG “Birth of Venus” is a splendid piece of art, very sophisticated. The design of the flower (especially the outer petals) has much of Carlos Schwabe, Gaudi and International Gothic architecture. The Medusa-like girl reminds me of the series of drawings by Barry Windsor-Smith, and you might know how much I love BWS drawings.
You know, when I first saw the sketches of your lady, I was… hmmm… (Arrgh!!!, I’m sure you gonna hate me!)
Well, it was a rather ambitious idea : you had to succeed in modelising human anatomy, ornemental flower, and the whole environnement. Of course, I knew the lighting and the texturing would be great 'cause you’re good at that. But the whole thing, damn! I would have never thought it would be that great. It really blows up all expectations. It looks like the work of a cultured artist, which is not so frequent these days.
Congratulations, CG Master.
Armel (eaten up with jealousy)
