 :buttrock:
Yess man !!!
Super taffe depuis la derniÚre fois que je suis passé !
Perhaps you could chamfer some edge and relax some shapes to put them more life as the petal which are a little bit to strengh, they should be more flexible and less angular.
By the way it’s a great piece of art !!!
Keep it on amigo !!

#83

Thanks everyone for your support !

I need that because it seems that I will have to rush to fit in the deadline.

adr
Thank you for your words !

harnelbe
You’re right about bevels (and micro bevels). I think about it but it is true that I didn’t make them on the petal parts yet.
I’ll see what I can do about the shapes of the petals too.
:wip:

I was thinking about a crit made by Tremoside too : I tried to “soften” the connection between legs and body. Especially on the right leg because I dislike symmetry. The connection is harder on the left leg, this is made on purpose.

Back on the petals now ! :bounce:

#84

This is the second set of petals. Those petals are closer to the body than the others.
No beveled edges yet

#85

The close up.

#86

12 days left

That will be difficult but I will finish before the deadline !

In the 3 next days I must :

1 Finish the modeling of the flower part.
2 Pose the character. (setup, this includes hair)
3 model a simple (but appropriate) environment.
Probably a cave. The floor should be covered with skulls

After that : texturing/lighting (4 or 5 days)
Render/compositing (3 days)

#87

The second set of petals, now linked to the core structure.

#88

Our dead friend here will be very useful to create the kind of mood I’m looking for

The picture is a little dark, sorry

#89

That’s enough with the skull.
Next step : pose/setup! (argh)

#90

I like the female part of the flower a lot, it looks as it could lure many tasty meals  I especially like the hair, its awesome!

#91

Yeah Deadly Force,

Nice steps. Yes our last days will be busy

About skulls
good idea, only rendertime “situation” is senstive about lots of skulls, so use it clever!
Stripes and petals (this version) are better:thumbsup: ! Hey am really interested about your hair solution I was trying something similar (chain) in the earlier period of machineflesh.
Keep it up! Rock on (with her):buttrock:

#92

Tests made while modeling the lower part of the body. Not so sure about the red color now.

#93

The head. Looks a little like cenobites. Good !

#94

Not perfect but quite acceptable.
I shouldn’t make any close up on one of these skulls.

#95

and here it is.

#96

Hi Norman,

You’re working hard and your results are imressing me. Nice texes and well thought proportions. Especially i like the shading of teeth. I know they’re small allthough that opallic look is awesome. Keep it up man, everything on the way!!!

#97

Thanks mate !

Your words are really encouraging !
It seems that I will have to forget the meaning of the word “sleep” during the next days

Next updates this night ! :buttrock: :buttrock:
