#44

I’ll be back soon with updates !!

I’m so sloooooooow sometimes…:wip: :wip: :wavey:

#45

A little glance at my modeling progress…

Oh! and yes, the proportions, size, textures, colors and many many other things are not set up yet.

To avoid big surprises at the end, I am now starting to work on the petals.

As I said in a previous post a few procedural textures samples are ready for experiment later.

#46

Ok, now that it is clear in my head, It is time to explain a little more what the end result will be :

Always a flower, part lady, part mech (ouf)
I use a very rusty reddish metal.

The flesh from the woman will cover many parts of the machinery but with holes.

Cenobites style !!

It is more than likely that flesh tentacles emerging from the guts of the metal parts will be used by the “entity” for dragging the petals in the closed position.
(If I manage to 'cause the technique is to use morphs so I can choose the best opening for the petals at the end).

VoilÃ_ !

Hi Deadly Force,

Thanks for your kind comments.
Your work is comin along nicely. Breast are still my favorits:p

That modular system of the mechanical parts is wonderful, congrats! I don’t know is it useful, but i try to give some crits for support. If i were you I should scale down the “legs” and use more from them. Why? coz if i look at them something is not clear. They thickness. these parts have the same (or similar) diameter as normal human legs, but the character of the real leg is different. I mean the knees the oval crossection…etc. For first sight they look like twisted. To avoid that you should use smaller cross diameters but more pieces, like interwoven lianes… but last… it’s just a thought.

KEEP IT UPPPA:bounce:

#48

Yes you’re right !

In fact, I didn’t work on the dimensions and scale of the legs yet.
I’ll work on that when I have finished modeling the petals to judge the whole thing in one piece.
(and I must be careful with that zoom factor setting too)

At the beginning I wanted to use 2 cross sections for one thigh but I finally used only one when testing…maybe It’s not a bad idea to try with more sections.

Thanks for your well-advised comments Tremoside !!

Now my new post-rythm should be around 1 post a day.
“Engines at maximum !..Engage !”:wavey:

The center is the core of the lifeform.

This is also some kind of a weapon because if someone falls or is hurled to that part, then you have great chances to end up with spikes across the body.

You know, it sounds strange when said like this but many existing plants or animal (insect) lifeforms have that kind of defence.
(mainly exotic flowers if I’m correct).

But yes, that is not obvious in my model for the moment.
I hope I’ll manage to make things clearer in the future.

See ya !

#50

Thanks Deadly Force! Your suggestions are really helpful. Smile will be relaxed a bit, but first i have to pose up her and of course clothing will be managed to the new pose also.

As I see we have a constructive partnership, thanks for that!

#51

My first attempt at modeling the petals. This is just a first try.
I don’t know if I’m going to develop that design further.

#52

WOW!!! man really like the style of your piece nice work keep it up:thumbsup:

#53

Thanks Cygnus_X !

I’m currently working on a more appropriate shape…
A more organic looking one, like the center of the flower.

Standby for updates !!:buttrock:

#54

Much more interesting I think.
It fits better with the other parts of the character.
There is only the framework of the petals at the moment. They could nearly stay like that. Not sure.

On the other hand I was thinking to use skin to fill the empty areas in the petals. It would certainly restore the balance between flesh and metal.

I should hurry now…

#55

Petals with some flesh strips…working on it !

#56

Petals half open.

#57

Wonderful style you have…those petals…huh…I have to relax a bit.

AAAAAweeeesommme:buttrock:
Rock ON!

#58

The large view…

#59

Refinements include :

New flesh patterns in the petals
Enhanced framework

And the articulations for the petals to open.

More to come next week !

See ya !
