Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Norman Rosenstech

Yes ! There is something similar to the Gorgon…

eRaDiCaT0r “Interesting design. I like your sketches so far. Are you planning to have that plant able to move on its own?”

I’m uncertain about that.
Nevertheless it is an option.

Tremoside “imagine a great field with full of these “flowers”. hmm…
short life for men…”

I think that my idea came from an illustration in an Advanced Fighting Fantasy book I read when I was younger.
There was that huge lethal Black Lotus field…very scary.
From John Blanche…

Things are beginnning to take shape…

#24

Why the hell did I decided to design a character with so many elliptic shapes ?? I am insane…:banghead:

About my last work :

The tentacles of the head will be made of rusty metal ( like all other metallic parts).
Of course, their shape will remind everyone about the Matrix robots but I’ll try to make them look very different.

The transition between mechanics and flesh could share some aspects with the Hellraiser Cenobites. I’ll try to push things in that direction.

As everyone can see the forearms are gone…tentacles instead.

The big question is about petals. I’m working on it.:banghead:

#25

Maybe I should take into account the complexity of a flower.
So here is an option for the lower parts. Some bone like shapes (with metallic aspect) mixed with the “tank tread” style tentacles.

That could be useful for the petals too.

#26

Something of a snake in the shape…

#27

Ok, enough sketches for now.
I will finish them during the modeling process.

Now, let’s go !
I 'm starting with the head. :arteest:

See ya !

Tremoside and RhyderKey thanks for your support !
Your words are really encouraging !

I am modeling the basic head shape of the character ( no mechanics or alterations yet) and preparing pictures for everyone to see how I work.

I hope I can deliver it tonight !

Cheers !

#31

Hey, the sketchs are very good. Remind me so much the HR.Giger style. If you pass all the feelling and the details to 3d …

I’m pluged

#32

Hi Deadly Force,

Thanks for your help mate:thumbsup:

UPDATES!!! I’m curious about 3d!

I wish good work and lot of time…:wavey:

#33

Though this is not so obvious for now I used the actress Ali Larter as a model to build the head…

#34

…and the whole head.

#35

Great concept sketches and great modeling begining. :buttrock:
I like a lot one of your first sketche which suggest a membrane over the body which is growing !
I stay tuned about your update !

#36

good start , like the concept too
niquel le visage , une version smooth sans wire ca serait bien

#37

Et zou !

#38

Thanks everyone !!

I’m currently building the torso and main body parts ( no legs, remember and maybe no forearms too).

JR.BRAZ - Thanks for the compliment. I love Giger art !

harnelbe - Yes the membrane part is interesting I think. Unless I change my mind. I hope I won’t disappoint you !

Jjack - Et un visage smooth sans wire, un !

Tremoside - I hope I’ll manage to build a model as clean as yours !

And now, back to the attack ! :buttrock:

About breasts and bust…

#40

The breasts are always a difficult part to model. I don’t really know if they look sufficiently natural at this point.( the global shape )

Comments are welcome !
