nelson bath has entered the Machineflesh 3D Challenge.

these are my initial musing, i have to admit i’m extremely excited at the prospect of this contest and its theme.

The orphaned, mutated, handicapped, insane are all wards of the future state and removed from the ‘gene pool’. ‘Synners’ is the name given to these wards lucky enough to have granted a chance at a meaningful life as a modified human agent of the goverment.

it’s ‘orson wells 1984’ a few thousand years later and this is one of the mass produced civil servants. duties can range from human ( modified) conduit to field soldier. most lives are mercifully short.

this synner i’m aiming for the the more glorious task of military exploration, search and destroy so to speak.

arm and leg attachment to come, contimplating multiple options being available to her like drill bits ( atleast for the arms, paticularily the forearm attachments.

cables at neck and waist allow up 720 degrees of rotation
mouth has whale like filter
titanium bar for collar bone
‘dreadlock’ cables for attachment into computers and data retreval

the traumas of this life, be you handicapped, drug dependant, mutated, etc are a direct result of past life misdeeds so goes the indocrination…

the metal will be polished shined, where as the flesh here is worn like clothes ( mask and dress) but tattered, scarred, dirty and bloody, inherrant of its weakness and the owners’ disregard.

opted here for hand over forearm attachments. holstered vs maglocked debate raging in my head but time grows short

been trying to keep it too pretty and clean. this paticular synner is deseigned for underground insurgent elimination. most future dystopia include underground cities, hives, etc as does mine. this is a mass produced unit, deseigned with cheap and dirty on the mind. the ’ srown of thorns’ holds time released chemical meant to keep her awake, aware and filled with a constant hunger for death. these narcotics are a deady addiction as once their supply runs out the unit will die within 48 hours from withdrawal. the spider back is inspired in part by drow elves and shebob in lord of the rings.

the gatling gun remains a sonic pulse weapon so ammo is of no concern. the fingers are drills. and the claw slippers are controlled by neural networking.

hunting is commenced with radar and infra red

About 12 hours involved now, extensive tweaking on the body to go.

would like to thank all those who put up online tutorials especially Julian Jeremy Johnson-Mortimer for his character creation tuts. i’m far from good but i’d be far from where i am now without his selfless donation of time and expertise in his tutorials.

i realize there’s a lot of entries but i’m like the lone ranger here, no school, teachers or studio mates to lean on in way of constructive crits, etc. so don’t be shy plz.

i’d pretty much take completely unrelated venting at this point…

Nice modelling :smiley: i like the face, has a really cold look. But the body proportions may need some tweaking? Especially around the pelvic i guess. But could be cuz you are just starting. Looking forward to more updates!! :buttrock:

thanks for the c+c, you’re right on both counts, i’ve been playing though too with making her look a little emancipated, jutting hip,etc (flesh is weak,etc) but textures might be the better wayto go to get the look i’m after. by the by, like your character design and emotions, looking good!

this little update is more on the frills, back arms and ‘crown of thorns’. been playing withtextures here too, just begun though. the tweaking continues…
