Your words and support are greatly appreciated,I am very proud to hear them....................Thanks very much................
I am finishing the modeling today.............The last piece is the "Wings" machine wings for Bangerbash Boulderbreaker......................Then tomorrow and Monday I will finish the textures for the characters...............On tuesday and Wednesday I will attach all the parts as one as well as get the characters all rigged up....................................Then for the last two weeks I can give all my attention to the Vessel textures and final compo...........................................
I will get a couple updates up soon,as I am baking renders for a couple updates now as I continue to work..........Ok again thanks very much for the support and extra inspiration.............................See you as soon as possible.........................Whenever that is..................;)
the textures are getting better and better with every update virtuoso… very fun to look at, and great consistent style… yet enough variation to make it look interesting i love this gritty feeling all your textures have
Virtuoso,
Though you’ve already been egged with praise, you must hear it again: enviable work, maestro.
You must be slowed down by being forced to produce video tutorials :).
Who can make him do this? Step forward. Put him in an anti-static room. Feed him burritos out of a dog bowl. Do not open the door until the videos are printed and sent to market.
No more hoarding of machine flesh excellence.
The suspense is building. The first appearence of the fully assembled brothers is making the forums shake and wobble. The Boulders are coming. Perpare the ant-acids!
What else could I say ? Textures are “formidables” ! hu hu…
Your work is plenty of invention…The mix between flesh-live and machine is brillant…you use flesh as machine and machine as flesh…the body is transformed, meta-transformed…made with metal and minerals…
Here the machine is the flesh…
You have inverted (you turned the problem the other side…arhhhh englishh…) the way of the contest and it is brillant and luminous…
ahhh great work, and I don’t talk about your skills…

bravo !
I go back to my old wacom ! humpf.
Idea
modeling works
texture works
fantastic all the ways.
Fist…Thanks partner and co-creator of the soon to be un-veiled “Scalawag galleon”…See you at the project hideout…
ravioli_rancher...................The fully assembled bros are coming...............I have finished the modeling, and am now putting together the pieces for the two bros bangerbash and sawed-off Boulderbreaker..........................In these next 4 days I will finish a little texture work for the machine wings for bangerbash and assemble the parts as one along with giving these bros a full rig/skin job.........................Then with the final 15 days give the BB bro vessel a full texture job and get the final Compo done...........Thanks very much for your words.................
goli................Whew very nice compliments,I appreciate this very much. When seen as one i think the whole idea will come together quite well, but many more hours of work and fun until then........................Thanks again, and have fun with that wacom on your entry..................it's looking great..............
Franky.................. Too too nice, thanks alot for the support, means alot.....................
Ok back to the lab.........................Thanks again for the support and see you soon,as I have some renders baking as I work further,I'll get them up sometime soon enough I think,I am very busy at this time with other things as well.........See you as soon as is possible....................................
Damn i would love to se what u have been doing in the past:)
I wish someone could collect some stuff from this contenst, put it on one site or something; flying/goli/ur stuff off course, that weird rabbitdude and a hell of alots of other guys…so much talent and i havent even seen it all…
well just some thoughts in the night…
Hey Michael, good update man. You cetainly have a definative style about your work. The machine… thing… with the eye looks very weighty and chunky and for something this inanimate, there is a lot of hmour in it. I keep thinking of a toilet bowl when I see it for some reason… A big, boulder breaking bowl mind you =)
Only crit would be that the shader you are using for the metal is a little bit too shiney for something with that much surface bump. Usually surafaces that are that shiney are very smooth due to them being polished smooth or just being naturally smooth (like glass or chrome). Perhaps try toning down the shineyness with a mask or blurring the reflections some more.
Otherwise, stellar work and very high impact:thumbsup: ![]()
Vincent V…well a dedicated site with months worth of work will be coming in July, all based on my project Scalawags of L’eternel, being done with my bro and partners, tons will be shown soon enough…Thanks very much for your continued interest and support…
…And get that surrreal in-depth work of yours to the finish line as well…
Ionized...................Thanks as well............The machine will make more sense when one of the bros is in it ........I hope........As for the shine there is a reason believe it or not.....................;) .............................Eventually these creations will make there way into my private project, they will be props within my World set pieces......this World consists of Steamy swamps, coral reefs, skies full of thundering clouds, lightning streaked skies,a very humid wet climate, thus the extra shine,I am thinking ahead, and these creations will be part of a Bigger world,a very wet environment in the near future.............Ok then thanks for your support as well,it's great to have you here, and appreciated..................
Ok back soon.....................Thanks..................
im impatient for seeing those new updates!.. they are going to rock for sure… seems like theres a lot to do yet! but i know ull be able to finish it to make an impressive master piece… every element u show says that!
Squibbit…Snake, thanks for your interest as always, really nice extra inspiration…You ask and you shall recieve…
…I’ll post up a couple WIP renders now…Thanks guys, and all for your support…
Ok here’s an update…I have the character modeling done for both BB bros, bangerbash and sawed-off…Along with textures…I have also attached all the pieces together…I will first show this WIP,and then for the next two days get the entire rig/skin work for both bros done, and then render out a shot with full character modeling and texture work fully rigged up for showing just after that,in about two days time I am aiming for…After which I will have the final 15 days for vessel texture work and a final compo…Here is a look at bangerbash Boulderbreaker’s lower body…A pegleg,Scalawag pirate like, machine powered created by the great scalawag inventor brainsaplenty as are all Scalawag vessels and gadgets…Also a lightning Rod…The body you can see is of the “Stylistic realism” World, that realistic toon, caricature style…
Again I want to mention that the entire body, head, headgear, arms, machine hands, upper torso’s, armor, and extras will be shown fully textured within a couple days or so…for both bros…So modeling ,texturing are complete, now for a couple days of rigging and skinning, and then i’ll get these guys completed renders out…And then Vessel textures for a dozen days…Oh yes 12 hour days ahead for that… …
Thanks for the support as always.....................
