#125

textures done for the cerebral implants

have some evil stretching happening on the left side there… but it’s not even going to be seen in the final image (covered up by skin)

must still do modelling to finish up the wire connectors.

#126

here’s the chair model…

90% done with texturing at this point…
not too happy with the color of the chair… looks like leather shit… LOL, will have to fix

#127

my lighting solution, pretty much an experiment to see how things will look.

in the scene are 40 omni’s, with 0.05 intensity, and 1 directional light with a projection map + volume light

#128

the results from current setup…

looks ok, close to what i have in mind - im not the best when it comes to lighting.

Here u can also see the final pose of the characters. The pink sphere is a place holder for a 3rd character…

#129

WOW that scene is absolutly fantastic :buttrock: Caracter expression are outstanding mate, Great piece of work you got here I’ll stay tuned for the final.

#130

Your job is really well thought, allthough I think with this light setup your figures looks like embossed 2Ds in photoshop…mainly the brain figure. I don’t want to disturbing you with this crit, you know how i like your work Martin. Maybe some changes on lights will solve this problem…probably you have to use a traditional key-side-back combination. Just an idea…
Keep it up!!!

#131

i really like the final pose u made… it rocks… about lights i cant imagine how it looks along the textures … but the lights setup is really complex that will rock for sure… please hurry up mate … time is short!:bounce: :bounce:

Hey ! …

you modeled and textured so hard …dont give up with the light now please .... you have lots of them ... this results in slower rendertimes .... and soon is the deadline ... ( I heard that they allow maybe a "puffer" of 36 hours more ... ) so ... I would go for less lights ... to get a bit of depth into your scene or dont
make them all so bright … your previews are good enough lite
in my opinion …don`t go for the difficult way when you know it
already better … maybe just add another back light and thats it …
as tremoside mentioned use the easy traditional way …

Greetings and place your nice characters into the light they deserve

Ingo

Don’t forget to sleep a few hours…

#134

added weathered cracks to the leather texture

#135

I went for a really simple environment - my focus is on the characters at this point. Here is the textured environment, I’ve done a quick composite to see how everything looks together - i think it really works…

few more things to tweak out… mainly the lighting.

As for the lighting, I went back to my old setup, didn’t like how the new rig was highlighting the faces.

** … a little help here, I’m using MAX 5 and rendering at the resolution required - but bringing in the image into photoshop it still says it’s 72dpi and not 300 – how do I set max to render at 300?
advice appreciated.

#136
