Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Martin Sen

#61

very nice update, versiden:applause:
Because of the tallness of the head I would give him a little bit
more muscles at his neck:rolleyes:

… but I really like it - keep up with your good work!!!

#62

UL, ye he’s on his toe tips ready to do a Trinity ass kicking :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

RhyderKey, hmm, as for clothing I’m leaning towards a diaper atm

Saschi, thanks for the crits… I think I’m done with modelling at this point… I really need to finish all the modelling by the end of this week - next week I’m on holiday for 3.5 weeks in Europe!! woooooooot!
right now busy with skeleton rig and envelopes

#63

have fun in Europe, and good luck, and hope you finish cuz you have a really nice project going on here, hate too see it messed up by rushing.

#64

OOOPS MAAAN,

the head and back are really cool meeting poits with mechanics are hmmm…what can I say? Excellent:bowdown:

More updates, more…:bounce: :bounce:

#65

here’s the bone rig for this model. Did some searching and couldn’t find any way to mirror/copy envelopes across in a symmetrical model in max5.
Arg, that means skinning will take ages!

good thing tomorrow is a holiday ;p

Good luck with the vertex painting, it’s always the worst part in the rigging process…

#68

You have been doing quite alot of work here…It’s pretty involved,a good overall plan with your characters,I like the whole theme. The work too is coming out well…As for skinning…Just take it as it comes, with patience it will all be worth the nice flexible poses you will get from your characters…Nice work and effort Martin…keep it up,looking good…

#70

mapped the UV’s, used texporter to export to a jpg for texturing…

Hi Versiden! I just saw your thread for the 1st time, and man this is great! Sorry I didn’t read everything on the 5 previous pages yet. But your concept is a lot of fun, and the design of the characters is terrific!
:applause:
The 3D is awesome as well, I especially like the folds you did where the nails are stuck in the head.
I’m very happy I stopped by, since I’ll keep an eye on your progresses now!

See you!

#73

Skinning coming along nicely, still WIP but looking quite good for now…

added some simple morphs for a few muscles in his face…
Really like the expression, alot of character. Coming to life now…

Hi Versiden,

so much threads and to less time…but I follow your thread regular and I have to say: Your progress is awesome!!!:applause:

I love the lil’ details of the ā€œpipesā€ on his head.
The bottom skin folds really great and the eyes are stunning.
No crit in sight…:wip: (beside still the neck;) )

U rock us, mate!!!
