Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Mark Endre Seljan

Love the idea about the rain, but i my thoughts on that is maybe u sould add rain in post. Cuz if you add rain via geometry it is going to make your render time jump up to heaven have tea with god and then drop by gucci and the way home.

#102

It could be great with rain.
This could be a very moody scene.

Maybe it won’t be easy to define precisely the shiny parts in that case ? I never tried that kind of effect. ( it has to look wet but not plastic…)

I love the industrial design component of this work, everything is studied for weight, balance, forces, etc. Your sketching skill is very impressive as well, great line quality. The rendering of the arm/hand holding ball is wonderful, very realistic. Will check back soon to see what you’ve done!

#107

OH BUDDIES, nice to see you here, thanks this attention:bowdown:

Cygnus_X:

Thanks a lot. comment from you is always a grace for me.

Deadly Force:

You’re right man, thank you these crits ‘n’ comments. Nowadays I have to design a chair at school…imagine that how hard to create and find out new solutions for that…I found thousands and more of previous designs, sometimes absolutely similars.
All of us have the same roots…of course we.

RhyderKey:

That’s right. Rain would be easier in post. In my opinion rain is just a quick idea and this is a challenge here. I want to study from it and I know I will make mistakes…surely, but I don’t care I like trials. My machine is working well (at the moment) and effects, like motion blur or smart shading could be helpful if I have to create rainy things. Thanks for your comment.

madshooter:

THX MAN!!!:buttrock:

Luiz Wilhelm:

your words are so kind…thank you buddy!

rajdeep:

HAH man…be careful with your jaw:) how we will discuss more on each other’s topics if you have anatomical problems???
I wish good work to you.

mixolydian:

I try to offer more pleasurable updates to you. I’m on it!

Thank again all of you…buddies:bowdown:

hey, youre doing a great work , i thing the design on the legs is great, the material looks really well done for me… and i also saw the arm wich is all mechanical, and looks great too, it seem real, i mean the way it works is awesome, your creating lots of great stuff:thumbsup:

#109

hi …tremoside!!!

a lot of time without see your thread!

great progress, y love her hands, have a very realistic constructive procedure, Obviously without forgetting everything else, that also is very well doing.

congratulations!:applause:

#110

I really enjoy your concept. You can really tell that you have a background in enginering of some sort. Good work!

#111

Hi friends:wavey:

rattlesnake:

Thank you so much. I try to find out these mechanics, this is why I’m a bit slow in modelling… working things are really important in my opinion. Of course I see how others create their things I think I’m on a different way, I don’t use too much details, sometimes those are useless for me. I respect the work of a beauty well detailed model, but if I see proportional problems I’m desperately
collapsing. It is dangerous to spend hours with details and don’t recognize main problems on the figure.
This is the case with me, we are different…that’s why we are in this challenge where we are able to learn from each other style and our own mistakes.
So, thank you again buddy your words are inspiring me to keep this style and work hard on it.

dunkel:

Thank you:beer: , I’ve checked your page afternoon as you may see.

lavon2002:

The leg design is very good Tremoside, wonderful progress. Would be cool to see something within the leg material, like wiering, or even blood vessles? I dunno, but its relly coming along fine!

#113

as the title say…

#114

#115

Love what you have so far, the leg is by far the most classy that I’ve seen in this challenge so far! Very sleek and modernistic.

#116

moooore…

#117

a few bones, links, contstaints, dummies. just for fun…

#118

here we go, on foot…

#119

It’s all now.

Peter C.:
you’re right, I will put the wires into the model, but for first I’m curious abuot the biped setup and posing for final image. after that I will decide what kind of texture do I need for the scene’s feeling, then I will fix modeling problems(like wires, added assymmetry…etc), then texturing and all the milestones are coming.

Please feel free to add crits, comments and ask questions if you want!

Ciao buddies,

Tremo

ps.: I will go to school and check your pages coz this 28K is…
