First off thanks for the coments on my thread.

The hand looks really sweeeeeeet :buttrock:
Very sci-Fi while still looking plausable and somewhat similar (although more advanced) to curent prostetics. Nice light weight mateials etc.

Are you setting this all up so it can be animated? Very cool Idea.

Dig the shot of the arm and hand holding the ball. Very nice. Looks like it really works.

All in all I think the whole thing rocks.

thank you so much… in this case animation ability is used mainly for posing, because some of the parts are too detailed (because here we have to make a still) for anim production. and in this case I don’t want to kill time with tendons, bulges, morph contorollers and many-many other thing. so it will be quite simple and used for posing the figure in various expressions of the body.

Thanks man!! mainly details are created by environments settings. From my product design experince a few things are coming through. and nowadays I like to work “gently” with materials.

How is it feels when you meet a kind girl (in reality ) and you look at her hands? In Hungary there is a strong legacy of palmistry. few years ago I read a few books about that. these fingers shapes are coming from it. for e.g. : if you can draw a harmonic ellipse in top view over a real man hand’s shape: that means that person owns artistic abilities in his career…etc. of course it’s not a discipline, but the experince of palmistry is in every person’s mind, if you just shake someone’s hand you build up an opinion from that (sometimes).

OK,OK…I’m working on legs, but I have an idea for final image…It should be great if that could be rainy. An elegant women stands in the rain, she’s smiling and look at something. her makeup is grimy because of the rain…
It’s like a day when she could start again everything…with tabula rasa (clean slate). What you think?

this screenshot is a basic setup for rain with PF(drops). There is a geometry follow flow(diamonds), and some misty spawnin’(yellow dots).

I know its rough, without fine options for rendering…so welcome for crits.

The look of the arm, hand and legs is awsome !
Very nice modeling !

The links between the mechanical parts are great. Something very difficult to imagine before modeling.

Maybe it looks a little too much like a Terminator for some parts (the hand maybe ?).

About terminator theme:

So, my solution is based on anatomy as terminator’s hand too and if you check this thing of course you will find familiar things, althought I think the working method of my hand (my model’s) is definitely different. fingers are made of solids, with pivot axles, it’s not a new thing in the nature or everywhere else.
I used metal surface for render, but I don’t think if a hand has a metallic finish and mechanic parts it have to be terminator’s hand.

Please feel free to add more crits here.

Art is more about reinterpreting things than creating entirely new ones. The terminator is based on the human model.

It’s just that the image is so strong in the mind of people ! (including me) :wink:

But you are right, and my own concept is some kind of blending between the head of Medusa, The Birth Of Venus from Boticelli, flowers and my own insanity…:smiley: so nothing original in here.
