Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Marco

#58

excellent modelling…
I really like the design, going well.
Look forward to seeing the final render.

Maybe you can take a look at Blade Runner (the movie as well as the video game) for the bar’s atmosphere. The mix between old and new is one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Hi Evilmaul,

this thread is catapulted in my own personal top list of this contest to one of the first places just now…

Great.Awesome.Amazing.

Keep up this fantastic work!!!:applause:

#68

Superb modeling and really beautiful style…i am looking forward for your final composition.

#69

Love your entry. I’m positive you should go with one of the first 2, but maybe think about bringing the camera up to eye level with your “Jack Nicholson” character. At the moment it feels like the viewer is cowering behind the bar and peeking up at the characters… or a fly on the bar…

I think at least this way you will have the feeling of “being there”… just an opinion, feel free to disregard

#70

still havent decided about final layout. Personally i like more a vertical layout…but it will be changed in the end. For now i started to model the environment… About the style it will be something like Libery style.

thx to all for positive comments

the chandelier: the shaders, textures are not finals.

I like the third layout, but I’m with Pleribus; It would be nice to see our bar from the eyes of a costumer…
Even being more radical, by modeling the one “we are” so that you can see your own arm, your shadows and reflections in the other objects in the scene… :buttrock:

This entry is absolutely great! Amazing modeling skills

#73

Awesome modeling man!

#75

Nice concept and 3d work but this has already been made. :hmm:
Your image image reminds me a lot (maybe too much) the following illustration from Oscar Chichoni

#76

wow SILMAETH That’s a very nice illustration…i like it very much…but if u have read my thread from the first post u’ll know that im workin to have a look as in Shining scene like exactly this…obviusly with my characters!

take a look:

I also think that the look (atmosphere) will be more interesting as in Shining. But for what you already made I think it remains closer to the Oscar’s illustration in many points:
-the biomecha stuffs
-the bald guy
-the very long board
-the layout

I don’t want to blame you for plagiarism but more for some kind of hard-pronounced inspiration coz I hardly believe that you never saw this illustration before you begun modelling.

Anyway, maybe Oscar Chichoni took the same source of inspiration as you did, but for me, it’s obvious that your work refers more directly to his illustration than the film.
