hehe ok i I understood
Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Lucas Zoltowski
some progress shots folks… spent a week on this now and cant get enough of it… need to model and pose at least 5 of these babies to give some randomness to the hordes of “flesh puppets”.
Story behind this is… higher evolved beings and are not corporial need machines and “flesh puppets” to do their bidding. constructed out of machinery and dead corpses harvested from plannets these puppets have no will of their own… UNTIL NOW !..
flesh eating nano technology that maintains dead cells and provides motor functions to muscles. some texturing done… have some problems with UV mapping but getting there… think im pretty happy with the look of thse babies… maybe some dirt and grime wouldnt go a miss… need to think about how to create the non corporial beings… the long stem pointing upwards will lead to some sort of hovering vessle with the creatures inside. altho the hordes of undead machinery (puppets) will have mostly disconnected rods as they discover conciousness of their own. BTW GUYS… some amazing entries there… keep it up and good luck to you all… All the best.
Just modeling the mechanical limbs… im going for a semi organic leg with a dark texture…still working on it… and playing… going to attach it later
Just tweaking the texture a bit, less of the pinks since the bodies are at a stage of decay… maybe a bit more dirt and rotting flesh… need to work on the bump map a bit, and specular map for the wounds and nano infections.
Just a quick collage of some rendered geometry to get the idea on colours and lighting of the scene… also trying to figure out the layout…
hey youre going too fast, CALM DOWN!, hehe just kidding, your work on textures is really nice man, and good luck with the rest of it, looks really promising:applause:
heh i have no life…
so after work i spend a few hours on this… i just churn out tonnes of stuff usualy, then just pick what i like and put it all together :)… working on a differnt creature…
Modeling the hovering machines that overlook the fleshy puppets. Lots more to do… thank god for the 3 month deadline !
woohoo… environment itself gona take probably a month…
Man, you are hauling!!
Its lookin’ good so far!
I agree w/rattlesnake really nice textures!

Wow, great idea, I like your textures, and your composition.
And this funny tube that moves from his bottom. :applause:
No, I like your work really, “zombie people from matrix”
some stuff to populate my scene… THE BLOODSUCKER (part of a larger vessle up which will be modeled) goes round the fields of worker flesh puppets and injects them with fresh doses of blood to maintain their muscle tissue
Well, that just sounds really fun!
A machine that at random injects blood into me.
Sounds like good times to me!!
Anyways, what textures did you use? It almost looks like you
UV mapped it.

Since the whole machine is going to be part of a background… and not foreground, detail to textures and mesh density is somwhat secondary. Not meaning i want to churn out rubsh :)… working on a differnt version of the texture…
O.k., sorry!!
I like the texture for the metal. I think you could keep that even if it isn’t in the foreground.
But for the tubes there needs to be more distinction b/t them and the steel/metal. The tubes seem to blend in w/ the metal.
I would say go for a solid color like the small top tube in the last pic.
I understand that it is still under construction. Just some comments.
But, otherwise, it looks good!

Just having fun, bloodusckers… now i need overseers and hordes of the fleshy puppets, i have a few ideas on the modifications for those yet… update soon…
