Its really hard to have a good overview of this contest with so many great and crazy entries, but so far this one is probably my favorite - cant wait to see the final version man.

Very cool image Krishna.

I like it a lot. It reminds me the beasts of Boris Valejo. The posing and the submission situation of the beast with the woman.
The monster/Woman, reminds me as reference the McFARLANE’S Monster Series : TWISTED LAND OF OZ.

I like the monocromatic treatment too.

I agree with the fact the the rain drops need to interact more with the enviroment, and mainly, the monster. I like more its skin on the spots where it looks more ā€œwetā€. I miss a more specular shader on the skin, hands and other parts, showing the wet and the water runing over his arms, and back…

But's everything is very cool ! So many great entries on this challenge. :bounce:

Trenox,
man, thanks a lot for your words. A great incentive, for sure!

Russo,
Yeah, fellow, you have a PC with good specs there. I think your problem is your QuadroFX 500. I think is a good board… but not sooooo good. I’ve transformed my Ti4800 to QuadroFX 980 using softquadro last time, but now I installed the new NVidia drivers and the board is running great. Have you tried the latest drivers from Nvidia??? Maybe can improve a bit more the performance of your machine. Let’s try.
Yeah dude… I’m running, I’m running!!!

3donline,
thanks a lot for your post, Marcelo
Yeah, I have lots of little details like the raindrops interaction with another scene elements and I’ll add it in post production. I just love McFarlane Toys. I have a bunch of them here!!! Boris Valejo and Frank Frazzetta are always great inspirations, for sure. I’m not using references from they, but I wish to make a classic scene, just like these guys
I’m running!!!
Valeu pela força, cara!

Here some details from the mother-machine posed that I’m still working on. No more hair. I think the hair really looks like a wig LOL and with the tentacles, she looks is much more like a warrior, an Amazon, Medusa!

#754

a truly exceptional piece of work.

:applause:

#755

Hey there, Kris!

Firstly, wonderful update on the ā€˜MM’, she’s looking great!
I think the head tentacles will help break up the ā€˜wiggy’ type look of the hair well, and enhance further the feeling of movement to her her pose also; nice

Let me also say that your entry here will definitely stand the test of time as a benchmark for us all in many different ways, and I believe it will stand on it’s own as a ā€˜classic piece’ as well :applause:

#759

Hey GREAT stuff, as always!!
I didn’t say anything before cause everybody else done it, but the tentacles look MUCH better. I can’t say for sure, but it seems to me that they are disposed like a ā€œmoicanā€ hair (I believe is Bullhawk in english), are they not? Perhaps they should also be in other parts of the head…
Amazing work my friend,
Cya,
Abração
Daniel

PS: Did U get my PM?

My first post on this thread Antropus - this is very inspiring work from concept to execution. My favorite part is the flesh on the guy, and there is a very nice balance of machinery placed all around both of them. Just Amazing!
