Kolby Jukes has entered the Machineflesh 3D Challenge.

I haven’t got a ton of free time right now, I might do a concept sketch or two, but I won’t officially start modeling for about a month.

K, i worked out my concept, no time for drawing just yet.

It’s the year 2100…technology is cheap, plentiful and rapidly developing. Even the poorest nations on the earth have gained access to sophisticated technologies -

My scenario takes place in Africa - a small, realtively isolated warrior tribe has lived in seclusion for the last 500 years. Recently some younger members of the tribe have ventured into ‘civilized’ society and brought back with them the wonders of the technological age. The wisemen and witchdoctors of this tribe study the technology and begin experimenting on the local wildlife as well as the tribesmen. Soon the witch-doctors adapt the tech to defense and begin augmenting the warriors with mech parts and outfitting the animals with weaponry to be used in battle.

My scene will be composed of a huge African landscape with a few african trees jutting into a blazing sunset. In the foreground there’ll be a couple tribesmen in full warpaint and decoration, they’ll have various mechanical attachments on their bodies (perhaps a mech arm or mech leg - not to much mech), in the middleground you’ll see a massive (i’m talking really huge) rhino laying on it’s side, a huge incision running along it’s rib cage and a couple of witch-doctors will be standing on the rhino inserting wiring and bits of gack into it’s body. In the background you’ll see a couple of rhinos who’ve already undergone the surgery, they’ll have huge tank barrels coming out of their backs and have mechanical legs and other upgrades to allow them to be used as mobile heavy artillery.

Anyway, I hope I made the concept clear. I’ll soon draw out some roughs.

Hi Kwak…Yes it’s quite clear…Sounds both impressive and interesting.I Like the concept/idea/story very much.I’ll keep an eye out for your progress.Have fun,as I know you will,your idea is quite captivating…:beer: :cool:

Here’s a little doodle i did tonight, kind of just a placeholder, only had like 10 minutes, I’ll start building up the mech soon.

I was just working on concept sketches last night, I can’t wait to work on this. Only thing is I need to go get a new computer, since my little old CPU fried itself last night:hmm:

it is a beatyful animal, will you do a white or a grey one for the one in the first plan???
