Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Keith Le-Clezio

#61

Man, i havent posted on this thread cause i want to wait a bit to see the direction more, man, crazy, i mean crazy detail in the eye, thats just way crazy:buttrock: .Waitin to see some more, hurry up…

#62

Hey Keith!
This is a fantastic process.
I agree with Supersnake about the eyes, maybe its cuz of the lack of lids at the actual level of detail. Once added, the’ll solve this. The Noseholes (the bridge) and the ears need need a bit more definition and tweaking of the mass too.
The Head is looking great, I like the Style a lot. I’ll keep my eyes on this… hehe, rock on mate, keep em updates coming! :buttrock:

#63

love the concept eyes…but it seems all that detailed work will not even be visible once the whole head is done.

alot of the other peoples on this forum have brought this to my attention. i dont really mind if you cant see them in the final image… because this being a wip challenge people get to see my intentions … although i have a few ideas on the final image composition… cheers man…

#65

ok… hi again peoples… i didn’t get much time to work on this today… but here are some small changes …i remodelled the upper eyelid… its very subtle… not sure whether i should adjust it some more… anyways have a good weekend…

#66

I like the head!
Nostrils need some tweeks.
Maybe only one techoEye is enough,
but not sure?
Planty of ways for final composition,
so get wild man.

keep it going!

#67

Can’t wait to see more.

Very Very Detailed stuff, I like. I think you should use the Telephoto Zoom Pupil in combination with the curent eye. But thats just me. Very Very Awsome so far.:applause:

Wow, awsome concept, that eye is truely amazing. Keep up the good work

#70

He reminds me of a Caricature of Laurence Fishburne. Good modeling.

Nice head.

What software do you use? Hoe do you model? (polygons or nurbs?)
I saw that your are in Melbourne. What do you do? DO you work in the 3D industry?

Mirage

#73

yeah hi mirage_fr… i use Xsi for my day to day modelling needs
for the machineflesh challenge im using polys…although i use Rhino if i want to play around with nurbs… i work for Atari Melbourne house as a character modeller… hope that answers all you’re Qs… cheers mate… keith

#74

So are you working on Transformers?
Where a your located?
Any job opportunities? Not that I am looking but just surveying what is going on in Melbourne.
I have to say that I am getting more and more interested in the game industry. I almost apply for some jobes last year but because I dont’ really know anything related to it, I stayed where I was.

#75

Hi Mirage_fr… yep we just finished up that project, trannies…
out in stores in may :bounce: … the game industry rocks man …
especially if you’re willing to put 100% in… i just can wait for next gen consoles though… & melbourne house is always on the look out for new talent… cheers… PM me if ya need more info…

#76

hey, great model, good concept.

A few things you could work on(sure you know about them already) the ear needs some work, lacking proper shape. It also needs to be moved, it’s too far back, and too far up. I can see you didn’t line it up with the eye, Go look in the mirror, you’ll see the top of the ear lobe should be relatively in line with your eyes, or brow.

The bottom lip looks a little flat as well. Other than that, looks good

#77

Wow!
This is nice. You realy doesn need to do much more then a face in the end, with all these interesting details in the eye!

Are you going to do something that lets him camoflauge his improvements? Or will he do the “standard assasin thing” an go for sun glasses?

#78

Tgoodes : thanks for the C&C …as this being my first head model there are somethings that i am unsure about. i have been looking at heaps of reference… in the last pic i posted the left view of the head is a camera render its not a completely side on shot thats why you get the illusion that the ear is to far back… hopefully today i’ll get sometime to work on remodelling the ear… cheers pfb

Isabelle : thanks for the comments…’ Im thinking of going with both eye models…as the head being the focal point of my entry.
i really want the viewer to see all the detail … although he could have some sunnys in his front pocket  cheers

#79

Great progress, keep on going!
Don’t remember who posted this link originally, but i liked it very much and hope you can get yourself one or the other usefull impression here too
