lol
your layer solution which seems to be a good one
Don’t you think it will be a good solution for my final render ?

Sorry if i bad explain i would just like to
suggest to optimise the modeling regarding wat is displayed in the final render.

I began to model some things to overheat me, and i noticed it is very trying to add
detail progressively:) even if in fact details
are seen only at the time of closed-up.

Thanks 4 the complimens. Ur design skills are impecable. the first eye looks more cybernetic, which makes it more preferred. you can add hexagonal solar panels to work as photosensitive iris, 4 the 2nd eye. the work is awosome.

Ok… hi again peoples… ive been taking things a bit slowly lately…anyway i started modelling the head this morning… there is still alot i have to do to it… at the moment im going in and refining the edge loops trying to make the model flow a bit better…then i’ll start on the ears & start slicing away to make way for the harddrive unit… this is my first head ever… i would really love some critz… or just drop in and say hi… cheers peoples

#44

Great work dude! Again nice work… a great effort for your first head model and in such a short time. Keep up the updates so we can watch your progress.

#45

I find that its eyes leave a little too behind, but it is a question of taste…

…cheer, good beginning of modeling :applause:

#46

Ok… ive just been tweeking the head a bit… i think the cheek bones protrude out to far now… i still have to add the eye loops edges that go around from the eye brow down along the cheek bone an up to the bridge of the nose… cheers

#47

hi again… i just pulled in the cheek bones a little bit… i dont want to stray away from my concept image i want the model to be chizeled… just started to add the eye loops bottom eye lid… critz Please

#48

ok… hi again peoples… here is my attempt to smooth out the eye loops what do you all think… critz please

#49

hi, nice modeling so far, i think ell the edges must be smoothed, i think the character looks so rigid yet, the lines on the lips should be more rounded i think, the nose looks well but the tip con be more spherical, just a bit;) , sorry maybe your character is designed to be rigid, if so just ignore me please, other way theres my opinion hope it helps a little bit:thumbsup:

#50

ok… hi again… another quick update…
started to add the mouth loops… and going around the bottom of the chin…

in dire need of some CritZ… cheers

#51

hey paradise flybird … it’s looking good … your making some good adjustments (softening the brow, lowering the cheek) … like ratttlesnake said, the lips could get smoothed a bit on that crease …

if anything i could see a slight pull-down in the middle of the chin and maybe a slightly narrower mouth

your going good:thumbsup:

#52

rattlesnake & pigwater thanks for the critz i really needed them…here is a newwer preveiw… its starting to come together well… i will make other adjustments eg. chin and mouth…

once again thanks guys

#53

ok… hi again peoples…
ok i started modelling the ear… i still have to properly sculpt out the lobes the start building in…
I also have to define the jaw a bit.where it meets the ear… cheers
critz please… cheers

#54

Great work again!!

The progress on this is amazing. Are you using any reference pics?

My only comments would be to add more ā€˜fatty’ areas for the brow specifically where the eyebrows would be.

Keep up the good work!

#55

Hey Impus… thanks for the C&C… ive have got the head to the point where im happy with the basic shape… i will make an attempt to add little detail.(eg fatty areas and wrinkles…

cheers PFB

#56

Hey PFBird,

Wow, your really making some progress here. For the love of god, slow down so the rest of us can have a chance =)

The head is looking really good. Its still quite stylised which I like.

The area around the eyes is pretty good, although the transition from the cheek ino the eye socket might be a little harsh.

The eyebrows and lips are very strong which I also think it pretty cool, although I think the area around the sides of the mouth could do with some more fat.

Looking great man, cant wait to see this hard drive unit!

#57

Ionized…thanks for the C&C there always welcome… today i have made some small changes to the areas you where talking about… ive almost finished on the ear aswell and i worked around the jaw area, although now i think its to edgy… cheers … PFBird

#58

OK… wooo i just did some head renders with eyes to boot… i would really love some more C&C… the head is very close to how i envisioned it,close to the concept…

double click the image for a higher res one…

hehe: next … Surgery… hehehehe

#59

hi, not sure of this, but i feel the eyes are a bit big, maybe u have to make them smaller and adjust the face mesh so it fits better to the round shape of the eyes, as i told u is just a bit, thats why im not too sure, but if u can make a proof and it help it would be great. your head modeling is going really well, about the jaw i found interesting the hard edge shape, it looks cool on the character, ok thats all by now, ill wait your updates man!, oohhh, and i wanted to mention that the eyes modeling its amazing, great work on that:thumbsup:

#60

RattleSnake thanks for your C&C… at the moment ive been going thru so much reference… especially models done by square.
and when i have a look at eye referene the iris usually takes up alot of room in refence to the eye socket… your right about the roundness of the eye lids though i willl tweek them to be more in tune to the eye ball… cheers man… when i started this challenge i wanted to do something that had never been done before in reference to modelling the eye … i had never seen a modelled eye ever… i dont know if im pushing the envelope though…
