Ok, I starded the head, the I need to admit that I have some pain… so to avoid to loose the fantasy I continue to work on the body. I separete the legs from the rest of the body to be ready now to do the cable, and define a form for my shoes. I will attach some electric cable at the shoes too… will see now how to do the cable…

Julien…Nice smooth body. You are doing quite well, she has this toon meets real World caricature look and style,I like this…

Nice to see another architecture lover.........I am an architect................turned CG World builder.......So much more freedom and the ceilings are lifted creativity wise with CG..........Civil engineering in France,is that your work?

Ok keep going with your girl, she looks nice, and as for the deadline don't let it worry you..............get done what you can, don't compromise your work because of it,don't rush it and then in the long run have a piece of work that does not quite make it to where you had hoped due to rushing it for time constraints.......In the end your portfolio/reel are the most important.............Get done what you can at it's best, hopefully by the end of the challenge,if not than continue with her afterwards, don't sweat it.............................

See you later for now, keep at it hard, looking good, nice idea to by the way.....................:buttrock:

Yep, I like that body! Like Virtuoso says it has a fantasy/toon meets reality flair to it that’s very attractive. Maybe her lower legs could be a bit shorter as they now are even longer than her thigh, but that’s about the only thing I would really change.

Let us know how you get on with those cables, I’m a bit curious

hehe cables are on the way… but I will spend more time that I thinked at the beginning but no problem: I do it

About legs I’m agree with you, modelling boots from the foot that I’ve made at beginning, legs now are 20 cm longer… I ill take this like an advatage when I pose my figure to obtain a more dinamic ‘cartoonish’ style… but I will keep the comment in mind !

thanks so much

Ok friends and supporters

I need to be honest: I’m quiet sure that I can’t finish my challenge. Like I told you in a message before I got an important landscape architectural contest that kill all my time.

I got my workstations completely locked for this contest because I modeling a terrain of a part of a city (terrain, buildings, trees, cars, bla bla bla) and this require more time that I thanked.

I will finish this project but probably I don’t have enough time to finish it for contest dead lines. I’m sure you will understand… For me this Cgtalk contest is really important, a wonderful occasion to have fun, meet wonderful people and an excellent moment to confront my self with the public (you), because each contest milestone need to be published

I’m not expert in body modeling (you realize this hehe) so my wish was to create a funny and interesting body (figure) using some tools (tutorials, books) and my personal creativity to do something different from trees and landscape architecture viz.

The actual architecture contest is for me a special and unique occasion I must grab it !

If I got enough time I will post some other WIP, promise, but I don’t want to speed up and present some bad modeling or texture works. I will be really sad if I ruin my angel work and just do it for finishing it. Tat will kill my enthusiasm to come back here in Cgtalk, talking about 3D with you.

Don’t think that I’m happy to wrote this message to you  , don’t think that I’m lazy. I’m really working hard and like other free-lancer, you know is fantastic to be free, but sometimes the time that you have you need to spend for your work…

Much Respect to :buttrock:

Anders, Sopay, the 1st angel, Lemog (merci merci merci), 3Dexplorer, PeterC., fluffouille, sleiron, Auetry (chapeu pour Frenchcinema !!!), splotch, dunkel, jamesMK, rattlesnake, trankillity, sasch0815, EmpY, Virtuso, CG-Scout

Thanks to have time to post comments about my work

I will continue to follow your works, ALL THE BEST for you

Don’t worry, Julien, it was fun following your progress while it lasted! Of course you should focus on your landscape architecture, but only if you promise to finish the body someday (just kidding)

Good luck!

Ah, there’s always something that needs priority… you have to perform some triage every now and then - - - best of luck with the landscaping instead!

… and see you around later :wavey:

De rien l’ami… ça fait toujours plaisir de rencontrer quelqu’un de très sympathique, et en plus, très doué !!!

It’s always a great pleasure to meet a terribly sympathic person… and so talentuous…

(j’ai préféré commencer par l’écrire en français, car souvent, comme tu as certainement pu le remarquer, mon anglais approximatif ne veut absolument rien dire ou presque  )
