– “The Thunderbird Project”…thats just a codename for a bird…use your imagination here. :slight_smile:
–Wooden guy (the rules say…“dont limit yourself to metal objects. Incorporate wood and other solid as well.”

Hi everyone!!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, cuz my Internet has been out… It still isn’t running, but hopefully it will be soon!!!

I want to thank Leigh for showing me that I wasn’t the only one thinking about a frog!! I really had no idea that someone had made another frog and I’m really sorry!!! I guess we both went from the same ref. image of the real frog, since the pictures are so alike… But the frog idea has been erased for my part!! I hope you can belive me when I say I really did not know of Kurt B’s projekt!!!

I also want to thank you for all the replys I got!!

I’ve made some new ears and a new nose for my scientist, which I’ll post in a minute…

This is how far the scientist has come since last time… I made some new ears, and a new nose…
I also got a new idea for his head, though I’m not quite sure if I can do it with my limited skills in MAX…

This pictures was actually rendered by a coincidence, but I kinda like his new look… I’m thinking of keeping this albino-look (I think hes more scarry like this :))

Good to see ya back on the track! The mad scientist could also use a coffeemachine interface, and c calculator on his forearm, as well as an extra tipfinger for it. In one hand, i see him having a “pincette” for placing microparts grown from his hand and on one eye a macroobjective, to save the time to move to his microscope. And for all cases, a massive braincoolingsystem, when his brain enters a critic heat status, to calm down on command. Make dexter look like a preschool kid.
There only can be the one. THE SCIENTIST.

BgDM -> I’m not familiar with the Blender-forum (I can’t remember it anyways); but i tend to make sign-ups to ask one question in a forum or make one comment in a forum, and then forget all about the site. So it might be me :shrug: :stuck_out_tongue:

the1st_angel -> Thank you very much for the great ideas!! I’ll see what i can do… I haven’t started on the body yet, and i usually improve the sketch with new ideas when i model (make some add-ons as i go along)…

I wanted to try out something new, so I put in a small window so you can look intside his head, and see if “everything is allright” :stuck_out_tongue: …

I liked the heat-cooling idea the1st_angel came up with, so I might use some of alle the free space on the back of his head to put in a fan-cooler :smiley: …

awesome idea about the window into the brain…the frame of the window seems a bit funny…is that your intented style or you just left it like that until u got bak to it?
anyways straighten out the frame…it kinda bugs me :slight_smile: other wise cool idea about the window.

may I suggest…instead of putting in a fan…put in water cooling. Like we got in computers today (ok well not very many computers have water cooling). Have a water storage container somewhere and have pipes going all his brain with ice cold water + mixed with some chemical to not give off droplets (i forgot the name of that process called…never pay attention in science). :slight_smile:

Hi again

Rhezz -> About the windowframe, this isn’t how I thought it would turn out, but when I got to the point where it is now, I kinda liked it, so I didn’t fiddle around with… I think it fits in with the toon-style quite nicely… But who knows, I might redo some of it…
About the cooling system, I haven’t yet decided as to what I’m gonna do… The fan-cooler has a more comic apperence to it, but the water-cooling system is more high-tech (as you’ve noticed :)) So I’ll give it some thought, and maybe do one of each kind, and see what looks best…

The containers pump heat-absorbing chemicals (like cooling-fluids in a fridge) in pipes around in his head…

I like the chemical cooling idea, as long as you’ll be able to see it through the window :slight_smile:
