Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Ila Soleimani

Pleribus, Yes, in some point of views you are right, but the 3/4 perspective could kill the child ‘illustration’ touch, which I am after it. beside some nice mechanical part will be covered! :stuck_out_tongue: and yes the sky is temp, I’ll choose the sky’s color after rendering, in photoshop.

fellah, Aah! now I see what you mean, bent down the head, yup! it is good, I try it. … And yes, there will be Bottles, LOTS OF BOTTLES.

Dimitris, Sorry dude! no room for him now! :stuck_out_tongue: … but … let me see what I can do for that crazy lil poppy.

EmpY, Thank you , and your wife.

newone, Tremoside, hephez, Thank you all, very much.

I love it. Onbly crit i could offer is that it the composition isolates the figure abit. What I mean is, its like a package shot, with everything arranged.
I imagine a thing in use (the cow certainly looks like she’s in the midst of a hard day’s work). So there’d be a mowed strip of grass behind the mower and the milk bottles spit out one after the other behind this cowtraption.

Really love this, Ila!

#406

coool! haha

background looks a bit flashy right now I tihnk, and I can hardly see the label in the bottle. But the sheep rocks!

I know it’s hard to have all the animals in the final composition and make it work so you can read them all clearly, but I miss the frogg…

:buttrock:

Right on the spot David! I want it to be like a package illustration, like ''Come and buy this cool system" ! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I may put some poster-like texts and logos too.

Sure I do.

OOps! … doggy and toady both in the scene?! … then one may ask for the donkey too! lol! … anyway, they could be somewhere, not much visible . :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

really funny and well done!

i love it:thumbsup:

but it looks kinda empty…maybe a fence and 1 or 2 trees

#412

This is brilliant!!

I haven’t really been following the 3D competition… but just spotted this and think it’s lovely.

It really stands out because it’s such a different style to most of what’s been submitted…

Good luck with the judging!!

nothing to crit

Okay, some folks prefer more compelex scene, with trees and fences and LOTS of bottles! that’s for them. this is also a compositing test, I rendered the grass in a seperate Layer and add the sky in PS, also I did the DOF effect in PS, just to see how it works for the final scene. Chiwawa still not there!
There will be some modifications on tree (remove?), fence, sky and others.

Crit plz!

Okay, you asked for it.

I did samll black and white blur to illustrate what I meant about the composition. Your image has wonderful details but they all jump out at once and fight for attention.

A visual pair of parenthesis could enable the viewer to jump into the image much more easily. I suggest a rim light to to get the edge of the mower and the sheep, as well as simplifying the background to get a stronger profile.
The cow’s eye is great, but for compositional purposes, you might want to have it bulging down at the mower. This aligns to the arc flowing from the mower (which I feel needs to stand out more - hence the color change) up and along his back. Excuse me - her back. Hehe

Other than that, I’ve pushed the tree to the back and repositioned the goat so that they close off the image better and darkened the shadow under the contraption to better anchor it on the plane and form a stronger center. I also added a wheel to the back - I get carried away on paint-overs. I may have mis-read your milk-o-meter, but it looked lopsided - like there’s no back end to it. Ignore if I missed something. Last, if the grass is rougher in front and to the sides of the mower it strengthens the feel that the thing is mowing. Also the milk looked plasticy and over-exposed. Painted a quick allusion to glass.

Here’s a larger version:

Hope this helps - you have such an incredibly poignant solution to this challenge! :applause:

btw - that chicken ass splotch might turn into a wonderful hommage to tottitch
