Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Geoffrey Smith
Dr. Simon Grove, in his former life, was a sadistic dentistwho presented his patients/victims with a gentle, kindly facade - only to lure them into his twisted web of dental torture. After the doctor died, and was sent to his appropriate place in hell, his tortures were to be paid back a thousand fold. He was decapitated. His face was split in two to make obvious his two-sided nature. Lastly,he was to receive an eternity of indescribable dental tortures - but Dr. Grove escaped. Somehow he was able to reconnect his head to an able body and make his way back to earth. Back in the city, the doctor fashioned new appendages designed specifically for Dr. Simon Grove’s perverted version of dentistry.

Wow, that is a terrific sketch!
With those skillz you should enter the 2d comp as well - cant wait to see what else you come up with!
Just started roughing out the head. The head’s usually not the best place for me to start if I want to complete the body, but couldn’t help it.
I like the sketch and concept … The best part of your model is that it closely follows the sketch… One suggestion I don’t know whether it is appropriate but you can use displacement map to add blobs even after major portion of your work is over, this way you can speed up the work… Keep up the good work… coming out very nice…

What a nice stuff !!!
Very Impressive Sketches and modeling !!
keep it up !
I stay tuned !!
Bravo !
:applause:
Thanks! I like that displacement map idea - I’ve been seeing some pretty amazing stuff done with ZBrush too.
Impressive stuff…and very strongconcept if u give it the extra care that it needs…by the way …check somewhere to find a tutorial - work that ambient whisper did for displacement and sub pixel displacement …u will get some ideas to approach your work better.
