super duper, man!!!

#82

Great work and beautiful images
I think your skills are unique!!

#83

Thanks guys for your encouragement, its very well recieved =) This is shaping up to be one of the most interesting challenges yet. I’m having a lot of fun on it.

rattlesnake: Thanks man. Yeah, I think the front air vents really finish it off. I was struggling with what to put in that section. Glad I solved it =)

Dagoof: Ah, theres always more to be done on any piece of art. You never finish it, you just stop or get sick of it. I have to work on lighting, and figuring out a scene for th final composition.

Lemog: Thanks man. Almost the polar opposite to your greusomestripped fesh corpse innit??

Saschi0815: They are just a bunch of transparent planes with a multitude of falloff and glow(lume) maps applied and one bitmap for the hologram design. Glad you like

omid605: Thankyou very much kind sir =)

#84

Man…this is coming so cool . Are u going to make an enviroment too?..

#85

NICEEE youre style is fantastic mate really like it  Very good choice for the colors:)

#86

Hey Dimitri, Yeah, I will likely be making some sort of a racetrack for him to ride on. Lot of speed and motion blur!!!

Cygnus-X: Thanks mate =) I’m glad you like it. I gotta say how much your alien has inspired my choice of materials on this one. I really love the shine you have on that white ceramic material. Excellent!!

that sound cool! Bunches of dust flying from the ground! go for it man!

#88

Come up with something really insane for the track… Something resembling F-Zero perhaps?

#89

I havn’t played F-zero, but I was a huge fan of wipeout 2097 and I’m thinking of using that as inspiration. Such a great game and way ahead of its time.

Some samples…

#90

Yes, it looks very similar - a game called “Aerogague” looks a lot like them as well. Are you planning on potting a huge flare out from the back of the bike, or only a moderate glow?

#91

Hmm, not sure to be honest, I guess I’ll just see where the 3d winds take me =) I’ll start thinking about the composition for the final piece and that should decide what sort of fx I’ll add in.

#92

I’ve been thinking abut the notion of a powersource for the bike and wether I should add motion trails, engine glows and other fx to the final shot. Since speed and motion will be a big part of the final composition I think its pretty integral to focus in on the method of propulsion as this will be a where the attention and focus of the viewer will be drawn.

To his end, Ive been messing around with some volumetric lighting for the front wheel section.

Will start riggin the whole contraption up soon and then onto modelling the environment…

#93

Looks insane with that lighting - for the propulsion perhaps you could do something like tron - the beam of light following it - of course that’s probably really really tacky. You could try out that big flare though - I would experiment to see what works best.

#94

That is unreal man… speaking of you should inport that char into it… it would look mad

#95

your design looks much better than the ones of the game!.. youre doing it just amazing! i love the yellow shine frome the wheels… thats really cool!:buttrock:

#96

WOW did I mention that I like your style… very clean and good use of colors REally amazing work man and your almos done, I can’t wait to see the final. Keep it up mate

#97

Just here to drop off two of these…

Yes better than any other cut scene game creation of machines similar to style.........................I am wondering where you are leaning to in environment style? Will you go 180 degrees from the norm? Or go for a match in machine style and look.........

Either way, very nice in all aspects gary.......keep it coming.................:buttrock:

#98

Beautiful Render man…u definitely have this game like style in your work…:bounce:

#99

dagoof, Mathiu, snake, Cygnus_X, Virtuoso, Dimitris, airworks thanks very much for your encouragement. Not enough can be said about the acknowledgement of your peers. That is what makes these challenges so cool, having guys like yourselves show your support and share your thoughts and ideas. Thanks again =) !!!

dagoof: Big trailing flare coming up. Or maybe something along the lines of vapour trails. Might be a bit more subtle. But yeah, I will be messing around with it soon. I’m just so glad to have the modeliing and shaders finished…phew

Mathiu: Dont know if I’d be able to squeeze him into a UT package… he weighs in at about 200,000 polys :stuck_out_tongue:

rattlesnake: Cheers, thanks man =) I’m glad you like the lights. Hoping to make them more extreme in the final comp.

Cygnus_X: Thanks! I think choice of colours is one of the most important aspects of design and a very powerful way of evoking a response. I do use a lot of primary tones, which I’m trying to get away from though…

Virtuoso: Thanks bro… well recieved =) In terms of environment I think I will be keeping with the clean futuristic feel although a fair bit darker with small splashes of colour… The bike is already busy enough as it is. To make the environment eqally as bright and colourful would not work I think… In the end, I think it will come down to lighting to balance things out well.

Dimitris: Cheers mate!! Yeah, I guess it come from years of playing too many games… lol…

airworks: thanks dude =) Yeah crunch time indeed…
