Wow dude now thats some awesome work going on their!

#42

smooth flesh has come forth i see…have fun finding a nice blend and balance Ionized…i know you will.Always go with what you feel,go with what feels right whatever that maybe …This will be one damn fine piece …of that I am certain…

#43

Hi what’s up? How’s the modeling going. I like your concept and the design looks pretty smooth. Are you using lightwave? I am modeling a creature and a bounty hunter but my renders look pretty bad right now. I might experiment with GI Joe. Well good luck

#44

hey, ireally like your concept, the bike modeling is really nice , i think youre doing a great work , ill be here watching for updates, the biker modeling looks cool,

#45

Incredible work on the bike, keep it up.

#46

Thanks guys for checking up =) Pleased you like the progress so far. I really want to spend more time on it but I’m realy busy right now… (excuses, excuses). I’m seeing the rate at which others are cranking, and it puts me to shame… tut, tut

Virtuoso: Thanks mate. Yes, it is all about feeling the force isn’t it. Seriously, technical hurdles aside, what we do is a voodoo art methinks =) But you definately know that I think…

bwest: GI Joe…hehe! Thats funny… Actually I’m using max right now. I’m itching to learn another package sometime soon though… Maya or XSI maybe… hmmm… Keep at it man. Get the solid modelling down and any form of lighting will enhance it further.

rattlesnake: Thanks man… your stuff rocks too. I was going to do a girl in a vat, similar to your entry at the start, but I’m glad I didn’t cos yours is rocking so hard.

#47

Righteo… update time…

Again, feel free to flail me about the lack of muscle difinition in the physique… he is a blob man at the moment. Havn’t quite got to that stage yet though.

The first is a quick PS pass I did on an earlier render. I find doing this halfway through the modelling process helps keep me on track as to what I want the end result to be.

The second is a render if it a bit further down the track

#48

Very, VERY impressive. Love the way that the arm is integrated into the bike. Can’t give you enough praise for this piece. And stick with white for the bike: looks so good.

#49

A really nice image is coming :bounce: !

#50

Wooo !! nice concepts Ionized, very very original.

#51

A nice update gary…

This is a nice take on the futuristic bike theme.I like the integration of flesh and machine. The bike has some fine lines/curves,smooth..................Will you make it into a rusty bucket war bike with dents, chinks and chunks missing,or keep it clean and polished?...........................Either way nice take on the speeder bike theme, and the character too is coming along well, those plugs must hurt in the back I bet............;)

       Nice update,nice progress,clean and efficient,nice design.................Cheers...........

#52

ding dang diddly update…

#53

dagoof: Thanks and yes, I intend to stick with the white. I want to somehow create the same feeling from that Bjork film clip ā€œall is full of loveā€ where she is re-incarnated as a robot. So very slick white with highlights

mosconariz & robin: Thanks very much for your encouragement, it helps a lot =)

Virtuoso: Thanks man, I’m glad your liking the progress so far. I think I will be keeping it clean as a whistle. It is a well maintained professional racing bike after all… hmm… I wonder how much one of these things might cost?? Maybe we could race it and your bam brothers war machine sometime?!

Anyway, back to the hammer and chisel… :wip:

#54

:bounce: wow looks like it could fly! Cool concept dude. Yeah some raytracing or HDRI lighting would bring out that smick marble look. The rider could be cool with a helmet like the bike maybe? Those hand connectors might be cool with some of that white metal joining his bones? Maybe add some foot grip to the bottom for his shoes. Maybe some more protection armour for the rider looks like he’ll get some mad speeds on the thing! Well just some suggestions no need to do any of it. looks great mate keep it up!:bounce: :bounce:

#55

hey Ionized

some cool stuff going on here.
I love the orange glow you had coming out of the front wheel. You gotta keep that.
The transition from skin to machine needs more work. The small panel things on his back don’t seem to have any purpose. In the concept the panels were larger and the machine parts were smaller, so i got the impression that the panels would close and retract into the back.
I know its early days but the skin and cloth shaders need some work. very plastic looking.
I got no critiques for the bike, its looking awesome. Keep up the good work:thumbsup:

#56

It’s coming out very nice Ionized…but my thought also moves in the line of pencil_head, keep the work going…The proportions are very well done…

#57

Man u are fast …this is looking more and more beautiful and complex…(by the way i like the glow on the front wheel in your prev update) :bounce:

#58

It’s very funny, more I look at the motor bike, more that makes me think of the white plastic helmets of the soldiers of Darth Vador.

But seriously, that starts by taking a superb form.
I wait impatiently the continuation.

#59

can I take this baby for a spin gary…What a zesty ride that would be…But just keep the plugs out of my back…

yes the Boulderbreaker Bros would love this baby.....bring it to the next Scalawag party........we will have all the rum you want there too................;)

             Cool clean work,stylish too..............Thumbs up...........

#60

Thanks guys for all your suggestions and comments, it really helps when you have been looking at something for a very long time…

creativer: Cool man, some great suggestions there. I think I’m planning to do all of them except the body armour since I think that would detract from the flesh component too much. Theres already very little of it to speak of. Something more along the lines of a skintight racing suit perhaps?

As for HDRI… I can’t seem to figure out how to get that working with Mental Ray dammit! If anyone knows how, please let me know. I have some HDRI maps in the material slots functioning as environment maps, but I dont think its really doing to trick. I might have to revert to max 5 and V-ray I think…

pencil_head: Totally agree with you there. The back plates I havn’t really started on yet. Been working on the bike, pipes and position of the rider, but the plates will get some love and attention soon =)

rajdeep: Cheers man. Yeah, I’m pretty pleasd with the overall propotions of the bike and rider. I think it pays to get the basics right before you start adding too much detal =)

DimitrisLiatsos: Thanks man, I will be sure to keep the glow in as a feature. Infact It will be a major point in the final composition I think.

Lemog: Hehe… apparently the stormtroopers are what inspired Chris Cunningham the director of Bjorks ā€˜all is Full of love’. So yeah, definately a connection there…

Virtuoso: Ah, I can’t wait for the nest scalawag party. I hear the brothers throw a good shindig =) We can get blotto on Run and do donuts in the front yard!! :buttrock:
