Thanks for your comments guys =) Always appreciated.

Na, Dimitri… you are nuts… end of story…

Thanks Cloneops. Yep, I was thinking the same thing… head in can… why holos?? I think I’ll end up changing the design of the headpiece so he can see out the front of it. Can’t have those nice shiney holos for nothing.

Love the cr…cr…crits… keep em coming… get some sleep too…

Nice start on the modeling Ionized.Design looks cool,futuristic/sci-fi.Clean modeling.

Got to love anything cybernetic....very nice ideas for the character.....................This will be a nice entry with some well thought out designs.I'll follow, and look forward to seing flesh meet machine.Nice start, keep .............................................................................................................

             :wip:

#24

Cheers, thanks Virtuoso. Look forward to seeing you check in now and again =)

And heres another sketch I did over lunch. The rider suited in going at it hard… Still not honing in on too much detail though. Just going for the feel and vibe. The detail will evolve by itself when I start modelling hopefully.

#25

Time to check in again…

Now that's cool.Like it very much.Just get him to lean in as much as possible,as dramatic an angle as can be.Perhaps even have him lean to the side abit, really hugging the road and leaning into a turn................nice updated concept, keep at it as hard as your character is.......Cool.

hi ionized,
good sketching and modeling so far.
although there are some of these “racing” ideas here around, i find yours the best at the moment, since it is done very professional, and has a clear-cut.

and hey, don’t overdraw the details, since sometimes less is more!
too much cables pits and wires are confusing the overall impression.

btw. can the driver unlink himself from the racing device? or is he damned to stay there forever?

i’ll found it better if he could unlink himself, because why should he drive races, when he even cannot have some fun with the pitbitches, or spend his money…

ok  anyway i also like she windscreens very much!

go on

Cheers guys, thanks for feedback, much appreciated =)

Virtuoso: Yep, definately. I want to make it look like he’s hangin on for dear life but at the same time in total control of the vehicle. The bike is actually segmented at the front, so I should be able to get some twisting in there too…

I’m imagining all sorts of volumetric lights coming from the front to indicate the powersource of the ‘beast’.

sascha henrichs: Yep, the driver can unlink himself from the interface node on the back. The two will likely be joined by some sort of cabling that allows a bit of movement for him aswell. I imagine his hands can also be replaced when he is getging down with tha pitbitchez!!

#28

And another update gentle reader…

#29

Whaouw… I like your concept… I stay here…

…I’m really curious to see man-machine interface…

#30

:buttrock:
Nice Sketch of the back side of the pilot !
WIll you show the pilot stand up near the machine ? Because we’ll better see all the details of the body connection .
Very nice updates !

#31

Nice update…I am happy to here there will be alot of leaning and twisting,a very dramatic pose will really set off the entire model ionized…

#32

well.i like that,it’s realy in a good style.i like the concept very much.and the models:i just love them, very good models.

well i think this must be fast, very fast:applause: :bounce:

#33

okay -leetle lack of vechile flow design- which i dont’t think is what you are after…right?- looking for that chunk-bunk-built-kik
ass look i am guessing…?
-still there is a really good setup on the design as is.
neeeeeeds a little flow on the body lines. just my 1.09 centavos…anyway i like flow flow flowing d’sign.
-increase the angleup - like in your sketch- where the fairing windsheild meets the bodywork…this will reopen up the front area a bit
and when dudes head is tilt forward we can see more.inside…as it is is way to skinny and narrow and to acute angle down…
looking good still…so keep the flow going…hopefor the rider we get some updates…

hell yes…

#34

Hey Ionized… yeah you’re entrys coming along really well man…
the bike is a perfect represantation of you’re concept…lovin the pipes around the seat area… cant wait to see the character modelled … keep the sweet work up man…

#35

i think this is a great concept. i love the modellin youv started so far. the style of the bike is awesome! i love the blue glass… its the litte things  keep up the great work.

#36

Hey, cheers, thanks very much guys for stopping by. I always appreciate it when people take the time to write comments =)

Lemog: Thanks man. Man machine interface coming up!

harnelbe: I’m not sure if I’ll sketch the front of the pilot. I’m running on borrowed time as it is, and I dont think you’ll be seeing much of his front as he will be leaned over the bike mostly.

Virtuoso: Oh yes… much leaning… and stuff … hehe =) I think I will most likely model him in a hunched over pose, so as to best get that sort of effect. Nothing worse than rigging a character and realising that he looks like a sack of potatoes when you twist and bend him.

kmest: Thanks very much. Yes… it shall be very fast. I’ll likely render it in a scene with some motion blur… if I get the time that is.

CLONEOPS: Yeah, it isn’t your traditional school of vehicle design. More of a in your face tech bike of sorts. I’ll try to make some of the curves more gentle though, as I know exacly what you mean. The windshield is actually going to be a hologram. I know it doesn’t look like it yet though = (

ParadiseFlyBird: Wicked man, thanks. Glad you diggin it. oi oi oi!!!

Abigor: Tip top! The glass will be replaced with holograms in all their purple yellow and blue glory soon (one day soon) and then it will really look kick ass.

#37

I’ve made some tentative steps on the rider. Ignore the crappy physique and lack of arse crack :wip:

#38

It’s good… well, it’s only good… I lot of prefer the before concept sketch of the back. Here, it’s too clean, the parts are too aligned.
It’s realized well, but that could be more fun…

…I’m waiting the continuation impatiently

#39

aye, I know what you mean. I’m being lazy with it at the moment, to tell not a lie. Consider it more of a 3d concept at the moment. Its still very early, and I’ll be welding flesh and machine into a die cast complete entity before too long.

However, I DO want to avoid the industrial, cybergothic, flesh stretching style that is fairly common in this subject matter. I’m opting for more of a super clean, fits like a glove mentality. So don’t expect it to get too gruesome…=)

silicon dreaming as opposed to industrial circuitry if you will…

astro boy meets fast and the furious… or something like that

#40

Ok… I understand… then, I wait the continuation…

…and especially, good courage and find the force
