nice work on the neck

im not sure about the physique of the arms tho - he looks more like a warrior than an explorer.

@ janhath Thanks for the comments:) I think this typical alien concept came from the logical fallowing of humans evolution, I like this “theory” a lot so I decided to make my own version of those mystic aliens.thanks for your support.

@ Isabelle Thanks. I am using Softimage XSI and that’s true there is a lot of geometrie because of the tubes, but that not that heavy I can easily work with thanks for asking.

@ Virtuoso Thanks a lot mate  It’s always a pleasure to read your nice comments. I look at your work and all I have to say is WOW it’s great. well stay tuned I’ll update something new soon.

@ sascha henrichs Thank for your support I REally appreciate  Yes perhaps your right I’ll make the nek longer. I did this Machine part because I am thinking that the fusion between machine and flesh was not enought clear, everything was mixed inside the suit.

so that’s why I came with this Idea the big tube is for the blood up to is brain. In fac underneath this black “plastic” is his natural nek. I just wanted to make this were tubes entering directly with the flesh. Well I may change it a little. I will think about it maybe let more skin appear on is nek.

Let me know what you think I update soon an other render with the longer nek and some changes. I may do an other version also with more skin on is nek. stay tuned cya

@el_newty Thanks a lot

@ SigFire Thanks for your comments and support.

@Versiden Thanks, happy you like it. I’ll chek it for the arms.

edit: Double post

#85

Some other test on the neck, I put it longer and add some stuff on it…

#86

The longer neck does look a lot cooler. Maybe it could be retractable… would be good for an explorer to peer over tall objects as he surveys his alien surroundings.

The clean lines between flesh and machine is spot on as well, I can’t imagine an advanced alien race would do this in anything but a sleek and clean manner.

#87

nice model dude! looks like it has alot of character. would be cool in an animation.
:bounce:

#88

Better! Really nice new neck!

#89

Hi Cygnus,

Ok, lets go to the main thing here:
Great progress, i love the neck really a lot, mainly the glow light.
I think it’s only a little bit to dark, so I can’t see inside to see the nice details…

But for sure one of the TopTen so far:applause:

@ rattlesnake thanks for your comments and for your support.keep up your good work man, that torture machine is comming really well.

@Tremoside Thanks really happy that you like it. yes I have some ideas for the final shot, it will be on an other planet, kind of foggy swamp with some weird translucent plants. The alien will do some experimentation on the vegetation of that planet. The general ambience will be dark and blue. well that’s one idea I am not sure yet. I’ll draw some sketch soon.

#96

An other view to see the neck with the rest of the body.I am now working on adding details to the arms, like veins and stuff like that.Comments are always welcome cya

Nice modeling !!!
looking at the veins you put on the arm i think it could be interesting to add some veins modeling at the back side of the head which could justify the tubes connections to the head, it could be good details especially in the pose of your last update.
