Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Dave Ruthe

#10

I reworked the head concept because it didn’t really fit the body or the idea of the character.

The skull harness is still a W.I.P. It’s just the general idea.

The face flesh still needs alot of tweaking. Particularly around the eyes.

Also the bolts that hold the flesh onto the bone have not been modeled yet.

Let me know what you think. Please critique.

Perspective 2

#15

This is the begining of the torso. The skin is wrapped around and hanging from a robotic/humanoid frame. The mechanical spine is going to come up from the opening in his lower back and attach to the skull.

I still have lots to do. Please critique.

This is some more work on the torso.

The outside of the torso is pretty much complete. The arms are in place and ready for muscle and wire attachments.

Another perspective.

#24

Oops. I forgot to unhide the zip ties that were holding his shoulder flesh to the bone in the last renderings.

#25

that stuff is scary!! nice modeling and concept…wish i had something to crit, but it’s looking good…keep going!:bounce:

#26

Well, it’s starting to all come together.

#27

This is a close up of the rings that hold the upper leg muscles onto the pelvis.

#28

Just a one image update. I’ve been doing alot of work on the chest and neck region.

#29

Well, I’ve finally begun texturing this monster. As you can see I still have alot of work left.
