Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Charles Harangozo
Koszonom szepen Tremoside,
Both my parents grew up in Budapest, Hungary. I my self grew up mostly in Canada, I still can speek hungarian a bit, but I must say I have to work at reading and writing hungarian.
Thanks for the comments:)
great going so far. I’ll be tracking your progress. What’s your plan for background scene’s etc?
its looking really great! The only c+c I can find is the armpit area is deforming a bit weird. there are some funny creases there. but that is a smaill crit, the model is awesome:thumbsup:

I wouldn’t have choosen this pose
but your model is very impressive
and muscles are verys realistics.
The pose i would have choosen i have
been the position of the ice blading
competitors when they bound there muscles at the start.
By the way your pose is impressive
perhap the eyes could be more opened.
Keep it up !
Kedves digifexx_ch!
Koszonom valaszod, es nagyon orulok, hogy pont te ilyen szep munkakat csinalsz.
Those knees… protections are light and serious at the same time.
will you add some motion blur in the final image?
Ciao:thumbsup:
Thanks for the comments and critiques.
InTheCity : The background is in the works right now, so I guess you will just have to wait and see when I post next.
harnelbe : Thanks for the input, I chose this character pose for a few reasons. Characters race down hill on a man made track inside a stadium, there mainly supposed to use their legs, and they go very fast, so to help with air drag a racer tucks in real tight. To add to that, fins on the hands and helmet help to straighten the air flow over the back to minimize air turbulance, once again to help with drag, as well as it reduces the force to pull another reacer along. finally I felt that it has a unique look and feel to the character, strong, sleek, and different.
Tremoside : I most likely will have to add some motion blur to the final to help with the movement of the composition.
Thanks for the answer to my input.

Don’t you thing you could add some aerodynamic elements inside the suit
of the racer wich could increase the aerodynamism ?
Like SpeedRecord on snow.
Just an idea.
wonderful stuff … a lot of power in the pose and it looks very much like he’s in motion … gonna be a good one to watch as you go ![]()
Tremoside… I’m still kickin, I know that I have not been posting as often as I would like, but I had to take on a full time labor job just to make ends meet. Work for 3D artist is scarce where I live.
So I will put in as much time as I can, and post as often as I can so just please bare with me.
pixplayer… “Vertex by Vertex” Not at all, what I did was make a simple full rig with Ik, and skinned the model made some small changes to the vertex weights where deformations were extreme, like the neck, and arm pits so on. I then posed the character. After posing the charater the way I liked it I then removed the rig and saved it for the next character, and so on.
Small vertex adjustments had to be made here and there.
Ivars… Good call, but if I remember Return to OZ correctly the characters had four wheels one on each leg and arm, plus they were elevaded by stilts, and they had there costume covering them from head to wheel. Anyway thanks for the comment.
Thank you all for the comments:thumbsup:
your whole entry is stellar! i’m most impressed by the composition of the piece and modelling of the legs- would love to see a wireframe of those!![]()
This is roughly what the final composition will be comprised of.
But obviously not the final look, as there are some elements not included with this image.
Comments welcome.
