heyyyyy, great idea!

I find the model very good except of 1 thing, the intrsection of the pectoral with the biceps isn’t anatomically correct, I think something more like this is the correct way:

But maybe when you rig it, you won’t need that part because the arms will be closed…

Hey! Are you going to add a ‘sprit/guidance animal’? I think it’s a good idea, personally.

I think your guy is coming along really well, and I like the feathers and how they look realistic. Are you going to make him clean like that or are you going to put cuts and stuff on him?

Tremoside - Yeah the only place where i haven’t really spent much detail on is the lower back, the shoulders, and the neck. I am planning on detailing the shoulders and the neck once i get the head on there.

Sorry i haven’t updated in a while, been really busy. My girlfriend is giong out of town in a week or so, so i’m asking for time off work so i can just pound out this challenge. So not many updates until the 13th-20th, then LOTS of updates :slight_smile:

Well i attatched the head, i still think it needs work :-/
There are a few placeholders on my character right now (like the ammo holders on his belt, and the pistol on his left thigh) but most of the stuff is final modeling. The deadline i’ve created for Screaming eagle is next wednesday, i hope i make it. Thats when my vacation is over. I still have to model the rifle, the headdress, the pistol, the ammo holders, a knife, and a tomahawk. Not to mention various other little things. I think he is turning out really well. I’m wondering if anyone is following this thread anymore… heheh i took a kind of long break. Well, if anyone feels like commenting i would love it. Thanks!

Pretty close to finishing the rifle. Its a little different from my original concept, its more of a close rang weapon than a sniper rifle. Kind of a like the m4a1. Anyway, hope you all like it!

Well i’m trying out the textures. I only have to model a few more things and then he’ll be done modeling. Hopefully the textures really kick ass. I have to add some nice bump maps to his pants and stuff as well. He’s really turning out pretty good. I’m loving it so far, i hope you all are liking it too.
Right now my computer is really getting owned trying to work on all this with my 1ghz athlon, and 512 ram. hehehe, hopefully it will survive the final render. Thanks for viewing :slight_smile:

I’ve been tweaking the feathers, i’m going to add a little more detail to them, but i got the opacity map and the bump and the color map on there. I"m really liking how all this is turning out. All i have left to do is the upper body, and the eyes and a few loose ends.
For the final scene i think i’m going to have him standing in a field or something. If anyone has some better ideas i’m all open :slight_smile:

Well here is my guy. I’ve been working on the skin tone. I’m thinking the war paint i have right now might be a little too cliche, i’ll mess with it for sure, also my specularity seems like its set too high. I’m going to screw around with it for sure. Comments/critiques wanted :slight_smile:

You’re getting closer to the finishing line… no real crits worth mentioning at this point - - - a spanking cool pose, some great lighting and shaders on this stuff and you’ll have yourself a really great render - go go go!

Thanks for the reply james! Yeah there are a few things on him that i would like to change, but i’m REALLY getting tired of this character. I learned so much by making him and i want to apply that to my next character :slight_smile: I’m going to finish texturing him this weekend and then i’m going to put him in a scene (most likely a grassy field, unless i get other suggestions) and render :slight_smile:
