started to work on the torso, hopefuly things will go a bit quicker now.
I’m going to make belts to go around the loops now.

Ok, I just gotta ask, whats the deal with the nipples? What are you plannin on doing?
Looks good though, the feather (?) looks awesome.
he, he I was expecting that mind;)
As I kept modelling and referencing the sketch I felt that it needed something in that area to make a weak point stronger and make it more interesting. So I thought that maybe that could be use as removeable battery cells to provide power to the shoulder wings and making it a little more interesting at the same time.
what do you think?
I’ll make some sort of air intake around the end of the neck and see what you guys think.
sometimes I print out images of the WIP model to sketch on them and see what works and what doesn’t; in this case I did the same but in photoshop.
Here I’m playing with the idea of an air intake below the neck… What do you all think?
I think that your idea is fantastic! Lots of room to explore with tribal designs and asthetics. Maybe add some tattoo’s when you begin texturing?
Excellent stuff. My only crit is the robotic nipples…they are coming off as…humorous, which I dont think is something that you are striving for in this image. I would make the ‘flight suit’ cover her up a little bit more. I mean, if she is going to soaring above cloud level, she is going to be needing alot of protection againsed the elements. Maybe even a fur cloak of some kind…

thanks for the comments Pyke, by looking and the torso with the head attached, do you still think the nipples are humorous? The reason I ask is that I’m getting mixed opinions about that and I thought that it might look different when looking at the model together.
Let me see what I can come up with as possible solutions either way.
Thanks!
i think the head and body looks great, i like the feathers too… but is that a goatee?..
I like your concept, and the back story is interesting too, keep up the good work!
YES! I DEFINATELY prefer her without the nipple things. A big improvement! I also like ‘winged’ feel of the flight suit, and having those belts will add a REALLY nice look to an already great model. If you leave some loose, when the woman is in flight, they can be lashing around in the air.
Infact, I would even add ANOTHER layer of clothing UNDERNEATH her bodice there. Perhaps something that even stretches up to a ‘turtle neck’ type shirt.
But perhaps its just my bias againsed scantily clad ‘game icon’ style woman. I think that if her clothing was designed with a more ‘realistic’ style in mind, the results would be alot more satisfactory-but thats just me!
Carry on my good man! And keep in the lip ring.
Thanks for taking the time Pyke I really appreciate it. I am not going to rule out either version of the vest. I have had some more feedback and the general feeling is to keep the nipples because looks more robotic and I kinda tend to agree with that, I think I’ll keep going modeling and see wich one works best at the end.
Stayed tuned!
Though the nipple idea is cool, I think she looks better without it, but now she seems to be missing something. Maybe have something similar but through the cloth and smaller (I like the way the cloth currently is).
Looking really good till now! ![]()
started working on the leg. I’m following sort of the same concept as with the face mask, making it look like the metal is actually underneath the skin on the top and the bottom with the skin stretched and held in place with metallic anchors.
At this point I’m not sure if I should model the feet since they won’t be seen in the final render.
I wasn’t too happy with the direction I was going with the legs. The outside of the leg was covered and the inside of the leg uncovered showing the mechanical parts… the problem was that in the final render those parts weren’t going to show much at all so I decided to uncover the left upper leg completely and partially cover the right and this is what I have so far. I want to add cables and a couple of thick hoses in there.
I like it. I guess that weight would be an issue if flying so having lighter legs would be a bonus in-flight. Are they removable?
the legs are not removeable, however, I made some sort of flag poles on her back wich are removeable. I’ll post a pic of that in a jiffy…
here are the flag poles pic, I also made a decorative necklace type of thing that is appended to the clavicle, I’m not done with that tho.
today I have been working on the wings, I have changed the design from the sketch a bit. for the feathers I want to surface them like the green part is made of some sort of light weight plastic type of material and the blue made out of metal.
