Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Albert Feliu

#61

Hey Antropus, thanks 4 the reply!

Well, my texturing skills don’t arrive much further than this. I think that it is because I have never seen a bump or specular human skin texture, and I cannot get on the idea of what do I have to end with….

If somebody can help me, I would be glad

Maybe you already like how the texture looks like (I wouldn’t have ended texturing him, if I didn’t like it). Then I would like a lot to see your comment too!!

Thanks in advance!!

Very nice:thumbsup: !!! Like his cool position…

For your maps:
Maybe u can do some sports to sweat a lil’ bit, then take some pics (in your wished direction) from you and look at the areas of specularities etc or u can import it into PS as a template …

Ok, it listens like a silly idea, but why not…? Give it a try:wavey: !
This way helped me understanding the different areas of skin…

Good luck!!
Cheers

Great model DDS, i really love the idea. Comments on the skin have been mentioned allready so I won’t mention it again. The thing that i think could be changed is the Hair. Its gotta go. It lets the whole image down. Perhaps instead of hair you could have a badass tattoo on his head, that kind of travels down his kneck and onto his right peck or something. I think that could look pretty cool if it was just a black tattoo with no color. I also love the idea of havinga cell phone in his head, thats fantastic!

Great job overall

hi!!!

i’ve improved the face bump mapping, and added a background.

I still have to make the eye highlight wider…

The background needs still a lot of work, but you will see…

thanks everybody for the crits, Lara, Harnelbe, antropus, I hope you will keep replying in my thread.

bye!

hi! long time i didn’t post anything

Shaykai: hey mate thanks for the comment. But I like the hair…maybe I don’t have a good taste…but I like it, sorry.

Saschi0815: Hi Saschi, It sounds like a crazy idea, but I think it’s good, so I did some sport, and looked the spec levels, that’s a nice lesson heehehehhe.

hey! don’t think I’m lazy!!..I was just testing zbrush, and making backups of my HD to format it…

I’ve tried to turn my background a little cooler, but I still think you can help me a bit, with the lighting and the overall feeling.

I thought a bladerunner feeling would fit the scene…but as you see I’ve gone to a home-made style.

Hope you like it.

Looks like an old school style of render…
Reminds me pictures of Steven stalhberg in the early 2000…
cool !

Hi,
Great work, just a suggestions, may be you are working a lot of bump into your texturing, maybe you might not need so much in some places.
Need some contrast in your overall lighting I guess will give it more depth.
All the best
Great work

Mike

This is the result with almost final lights setup. I try to give a contrast of blue to the orange of the back.

#70

this is the render with final lighting and rendering, but until the last week I’m open to change it.

#71

This is a test with a general tweaking, maybe I add some noise and smoke effects on another layer in photoshop…

#72

Hey mates! the challenge is over and I would like to thank you all for the support. Here’s the final image (for the milestone), I’m not happy with it at all now…too late.
Well, I wish you good luck, and see ya in the next one!
