Machineflesh 3D Challenge Entry: Aidan Wilson
some very rough thumbnails - just thought i’d sketch down what i could think of and see if any good ideas floated to the surface.
So heres the first
The basic idea is that this fella’s muscles/central nervous systems has atrophied to the point where he can barely move unassisted. His head rolls around unable to support itself and he has to wear goggles to prevent the sunlight damaging his eyes due to the immobility of his eyelids (same goes for his internal organs as well - i’m thinking it could be due to environmental factors such as pollution/buildup of toxins in their race and/or way too much inbreeding)
The Machine moves its host like a puppeteer - the host is implanted with hardpoints at major joints that are connected by wires to articulated arms. Not incredibly practical but i thought it might look cool/weird
The body of the mechanical section takes care of life-support and waste/management/recycling. (connected via tubes to the hosts torso) So plently of gurgling tanks full of indescribably foul goo
Not final design - just playing with shapes. Whatever i do go for will probably not be smooth and sleek. Old and barely staying in one piece is far more likely

Might have some more ideas to contribute soon.
Nice original idea! This has tons of potential, both visually and with regards to the backstory. I like the idea of the machine being really old and breaking down too. Maybe there’s no one left to maintain it cause he’s the last of his kind.
Can’t wait to see more.

yea man… I really like this idea… I look forward to seeing how emaciated you make the man… perhaps some of the connections might have ripped off leaving a limb or two hanging limp…
nice one!
