Machineflesh 2D Challenge Entry: von caberte

Background scene is pretty convincing. Good start
But wont the shaded pencil work be in conflict with your new background?

You have reached that stage where i have no idea what i should be doing for the pic. I know you can make it even better! Update us soon.

Oh almost forgot to tell you how awe struck i was when i saw your dog sketch with that superb angle!:bounce:

HI…

Another update for my background… I’m adding l’l details on this, i’ll have it blur anyway, to create a more depth.

artjunkie - Thanks for the kind words.

grafik - Good luck also to you, mate.

sketchfiend - I really appreciate and consider your feedback.

Falcor_ Thank you for seeing my quick sketch as a good start.

#63

yeah yeah the creature is nice it is so movable, the background alittle blur would be fine and it is almost done

#64

Another update of my background scene.

#65

 Wow, the works come on a long way since I last looked.

Really like how you are working up the background - I’ll be interested to see how all the elements look once combined. The differences between background and foreground in terms of light and style should add a lot of depth…

Hi cabertevon,

I like your drawing associate to the BG you posted will look very good.

It’s difficult, just my opinion, to differenciate the organic part to engins parts at the firt sight.

Final will surely be awesome.

#67

Hi!!! Another update… nothing so significant to mention, just a l’l details.

Mr. Freeman and Davee -Thanks.

#68

lookin cool though.’!

well cabertvon this backgorund will fit da creature very good i think. Also due to ur wish u could make the background darker or lighter but i ā€˜m imaginin’ this scene like because of the close up view of the creature the creature is darker than the background and also the ligh comin down from a gap between the leaves makes the background llighter and smooth… but not detailed… i think thatz what u r about to do. keep it up man!

#69

Hi!!!

My Final Coloring wip.

More details will be added soon.

#70

Oppps…I click the wrong file.

Sorry…Here it is.

#71

I love the final composition with the background. The mood you have created is very nice, and the design of your Machine Flesh entry is very well executed.

GOod work!

#72

that really has turned out pretty cool, I very much like that texture you’ve got running through it :applause:

#73

OO yeahh…
I see you prefer absolutely natural technics.Your project with hibrid of dog and machine impresed me really much .Both composition and way of drawing.

#74

Your work is awesome!!!

You wrote: ā€œMore details will be added soonā€, so, I’ll be waiting :bounce:

#75

Very good wip ! The BG brings a great dimension…THat’s give a reality to the creature. :applause: and a very beautiful dimension in the composition.
keep up !(as we always say:D …)

#76

yeah the sapat is really blended good with the BG. may be thorugh the end of the tail could be darker i dunno u might try it or a metal shine look on the end of the tail could express the effect of it but it would take the attention to the end of the tail rather than the creature itself so this won’T be good…indeed its a very succesfull drawin and concept. congrats, hope i could manage to finish mine too…
take care pal.

#77

Its a great creature! But for my opinion, the colors r to equal, soft and the whole machineflesh thing doesnt show up. Some more contrast maybe?
Otherwise is a great piece!

#78

Another update!!!

#79

Woo…It’s becoming very very nice !! Your work on contrast is very important in this great piece …
I like it !

Keep going my friend !:applause:

cheers

I really liked your first concepts with the dog upside down. It was very strange but perfectly drawn :bounce: :bounce:
