This is definitly the darkest and weirdest of all the concepts I saw here. And that’s great! That skin is absolutly repugnant and even the ideea of playing around in someone’s brain (even if this is Humpty Dumpty) is sick. Congrats! Great piece of work. Has a “Panzar” feeling in it.

hey tommy… the colouring is insane! That must have taken a fair while.

do you use just one layer to shade and highlight? and do you use a tablet?

@eupee: Thanks dude! About your questions:

  • I use a Wacom Graphire 2 graphictablet
  • I use the following Layers right now:
    *Lines
    *Color Humpty
    *Color Madhatter
    *Color Mechanics
    *Background
    -I do the Highlights and Specialeffects in the endstage of my progress. I do them on seperate layers

@duddlebug: These colored dots are just my palette. I put them where I need it, thats a lil’ chaotic but works just fine for me. And about the Background… I have a few rough ideas in the back of my head, but I let my thoughts float around till I finished the main characters. Thanks for your comments!!!

yeh… i guessed they were your palette. A good idea actually. playing with your palette in the dead space.

I’ve always worked in Photoshop, but i’m thinking of learning Painter for this challenge. It looks like a lot of fun.
