Machineflesh 2D Challenge Entry: Michal Bilinski

#23

On the last one, that frog looks almost like T-rex, big and badass. Powodzenia

#24

Comming along really nice… Keep it up…

#25

Just a thought if the frog has these super cool high performance legs to help catch flies. Then cathing normal flies wouldn’t be very hard, so having some badass flies! might coo!
keep it up!

#26

Go…frogger…goooooooo!!!

Good concept. Wait for more:beer:

#27

but the frog is clearly the winner : original, and more interesting than another cyber-warrior.

Agreeee! :applause:

looking forward to seeing coloring!!!:bounce:

Kurt B, Shafeek, Tommy Lee, adrixwha -> Thanks a bunch for the kind words guys!
Azazel -> Dziêki :slight_smile:

Been pretty busy lately and had no time to prepare the lines, I’ll do it this weekend so stay tuned for minor updates

#29

I guess I’m done working on the lines (I’ll probably introduce some minor changes to the image later). Up till now almost everything has been done in a traditional way - I used a thin brush to ink the pencil drawing. Now it’s time to add some colors.

#30

Love the frog and the line art its mind blowing. And this is indeed one dynamic pose! Good luck!

#31

I love your concept - very original. The detail you have going in the legs is awesome and totally believable.

Your latest linework looks like the frog has scaly crocadile skin. Is this intentional? I kinda liked the slick amphibian skin you had going in your earlier color test.

#32

nice progress:thumbsup:

Can’t wait to see the color!

#33

Thanks for all the comments guys

Evil Gerbil -> the crocodile skin effect is intentional indeed. I added the scales to make the shape of the frog a bit more visible and easier to understand. It’s quite possible though that I will keep it on a lower layer once I start the coloring process - the scales will still be there but they won’t be that aggressive.

#34

Il est marrant ton crapeaux génial !!!:buttrock:

#35

Great work.
As I just mentioned on Kurt Boutilier’s thread, I’m torn up as to what to do… as my new concept for the 2d section is also a frog.
Not sure If I should procede or not. It might be back to the drawing board for me.

Anyways… good luck. Can’t wait to see more.

#36

It’s great, my only crit is that you lost some of the motion/fluidity/looseness from the previous sketch to inks. I guess that’s bound to happen as it usually does :hmm: Anyways, great work so far, can’t wait to see the colors :buttrock:

#37

your frog has a great attitude  Very funny

I like even if didn’t like the idea first, the result is very surprising

#38

Hey Witcher!
Beautiful and mesmeric sketches; great line work and concept, too
My only crits would be:
I would like to see a slightly bigger belly here, and more ‘muscular’ (chunkier) thigh mechs to stabilise the little beastie

#39

your concepts are beautiful. just one thing that is bothering me… on the last concept the frog looks more like a chameleon (dont know if its spelled correclty…) then a frong hehe… jus my opinion

#40

As usual, thanks for all the comments guys. It’s been a while since my last update - I had very little free time to spend working on this one but I’ve been able to make some progress… it’s not much but I just wanted you to see that I’m still in.
As for the frog being similar to a chameleon… well, you’re right, it does look a bit like a chameleon. Not much that I can do about it right now though. Besides, I kinda like it’s chameleonish looks =)

#41

Chameleon? No, it’s more like an elefant. By the way, is it also required by the contest rules, that we must like each and every entry? Personally, I haven’t seen a single reply saying “I don’t like what you did”; It seems that everybody likes what everybody does…
