Dude your sketches are absolutely amazing. I have to seriously say this is one of the best ones I’ve seen so far in the way of unadultrated ingenious origionality. The only comment I have is to play on what somone said earlier. The creature looks a little off balance. The center of gravity seems to be right around the front shoulders. One more thing. This may be more in depth than you want to go but thinking about this creature in the real world… the creature doesn’t seem very agile. For a fighting machine/animal it doesn’t seem too practical to ride on something that is slow moving. You could add some armor and make it seem more stalwart…ish. Just some suggestions.

Hi guys. Its been a wile since I posted. Been busy. well I went back and re thaught of how to go about painting my beast. So here it is a little more of it. I know there is not much time, so I’ll try to work arround the clock to finish it. I was going to incorporate a rocky background but now I’m not sure if I’ll be able to. For now I just want to finish the creature. Comments welcome. Than you to all the people who responded here before. :slight_smile:

The detail in the texturing is just staggering. Must be super tedious work and you’d have to have bucket loads of patients.

Yay an update! For a while I was afraid you were going to miss the deadline and all of that awesome work would have went down the drain! Glad to see you back at it, though it would have been cool to see the composition you were going to put the creature in.

Details are insane, man. I’m looking forward to seeing how this comes out.

Your work is very good…will you be leaving any of youe pencil work to show through? There’s such a lot of nice rendering not to incorporate it.

I can’t even think of words to express how amazing this thread is, your pencil renderings alone were astounding and now your paints, the texture you get with your digital painting baffles me! I want to know how you did that!
