U really do wanna get that wacom dont u? :applause:
Grat pic!

#103

As far as the initial concept design and quality of the art your way up there, i cant wait to see this one finalized…keep up the great work!

#104

Lookin really good. Your penciling technique is very precise, and the mechanical buildingup looks logical and believable.
(to spin quizboys desire for size: why not makin a gondle, where a few ppl can fight in instead of a stretched seddle. So the gun would not be out of place, imagine makin the gun to a something like the machineguns they use on airplane carrieres to defend from enemy planes… some gun that has a seat in the back of it… 35mm Flak Artillery, in ur case 350mm …that would make a mechano-altered wardinosaur. thinkin big… ;))
Best follow your own vision, marcin, great work so far now show em colors! Keep it up!:buttrock:

Wow, what an interest!

…anyways thank you guys (perhaps some girls) for all the nice comments and
criticisms alike. I’m plesently surprised with the interest my thread has had.

As far as the gun. OK, I’m gonna design and implement heavier hydraulically controlled firepower with a built-in seat for the operator. Only one though, because my original idea was for one person to operate it. I’ll built-in the chassis for this gear into the flesh of the beast. so stay tuned. I’ll be converting the drawing that I already done (like I said before) by drawing only what I need and compositing that piece ove the original scan.

#106

WOW! Very nice, you really conveyed a sense of an aged union of beast and machine…

#107

This is definitly the best pencil sketch I’ve seen in a long time. So much detail and so well thinked mechanical part while keeping it weird and displaced enough to be an eye opener. Good luck!

#108

bravo:thumbsup:

that looks amazing!!!

#109

Yeaahh, wow factor is 1000% :buttrock:
Nice draw technicue, still waiting for you next post…

#110

hey man!
are you thinking in doing your final as you did your concept?.. or are you thinking in puting some kind of action in the scene? just to ask… cause I think you creature in very suitable to make some kind of complex movement or to use it in very angular (perspective) view. althought I m a lover of very frontal, side and orthographic views… I think I used it a lot in my work.
another thing… what is the real zise of this sketsh??? (if I can call this sketsh… I think is very finished)
I wil not congratulate you now… I know I will later.

#111

Thank you everyone.

tungaunga: I might icorporate it into some kind of scene, but I’ll concentrate on the creature mostly, I still have to decide that. the original is drawn on an 8 1/2 by 11 (almost corner to corner)

Here is a sketch I did of the gun I came up with. It will probably change a little. I’ll put more bells and whistles on it later. It will fully be implemented into the chassis that will be imbeded into the flesh. Crap I just want to start painting it in photoshop soon.

crits ??

Good pencil work.

I wanted to go back to something you said earlier about making the saddle(s) smaller. I think that’s a great idea. All the mechanical detail and muscalature bring to mind much larger animal than the saddle suggests.

i think you’d be right to make it look larger by scaling the attachments that people might use (saddles, the gun etc.)

There’d be an instant sense of size and weight.

keep on truckin’…

#113

The gun is so big that it looks like it’s got quite a recoil. Perhaps there sould be some short of elasticity to compensate with that. Maybe the whole thing could be on a sledge that can bounce a bit back and forth.

#114

Yep do it dude!:buttrock:

#115

I agree with Cretiver and Pampuli.

#116

:buttrock:

Thats it…

#117

Cool works and great skill .
Like your words before , it’s time to add some armour .

crazybread
You said earlier that you didn’t want to integrate the seat to the monster, since it’s not dedicated to hold people on its back. I love this idea, and that’s why I really think you shouldn’t integrate the gun to it either.
I love your idea of a big creature being modified to be stronger. Maybe thats actually what you said about the gun, I didn’t understand very well, sorry. On its hips, I think you should put a kind of structure that can hold a big gun as well as something else. Yeah, if those creatures can live up to 700 years, why would they still have huge anoying guns on their hips once the war will be over?

To be clearer, I think you should put a USB port on its hips, where you can plug a mouse, a graphic tablet ot a scanner, not the scanner itself

Okay, sorry for that looong note, hope you’ll read it anyways!
I LUV your idea, that’s why I talk so much!

Like everyone has already said: Impressive work and design! :buttrock:
If I have to crit something it propably would be the position of the monster’s right back leg. It kinda confuses me. I noticed that you had placed it differently on your earlier versions. That seems to work better with me… anyway :applause:
