THIS IS JUST A COMPOSTITIONAL TEST. I’M NOT USING A PHOTO FOR THE BACKGROUND IN THE FINAL IMAGE!! (thought i’d put that in capitals to avoid any confusion or discussion!! I took a bunch of photos for reference and this was a quick way of visualising my composition)
I’ve been going through the reference photos that i took earlier on this week, and i’m going to draw up something based on this environment. I’ve always loved this railway bridge in Manchester. It’s HUGE. And rusty.
ANd i can just imagine ‘kooki’, and her monkey circus troupe, finding their dead monkey friend in this environment. And i can see loads of baboons amongst the girders and walls… watching… waiting… salivating…
They’ll come next. I’m going to look through my photographs and draw up a composition based on several of the pictures, exaggerating the scale and curves of the steelwork.
I’ve also got to decide whether i should include the Sultan somewhere in the background… or whether that would complicate the composition.
As i said earlier… i’ll post a finished concpet tomorrow and my line art milestone sometime on Sunday.
Then it’s just a case of painting the blighter…
maybe i should just design a stress monkey…?
