#1

Daryl Mandryk has entered the Machineflesh 2D Challenge.

#2

Here’s my concept sketch, I want to inject some action into the whole machine/flesh theme.

Now onto the next stage…

#3

first milestone concept.

#4

great sketch, It really captures the action

it would be nice to see more clearly what the machine parts actually are and how they function. I guess that will become more obvious as you develop.

#5

really nice start ! i like your work , good luck for the next !

#6

Cool scribble, I would try to give the idea something extra though, since fighting monsters have been done before a lot of times.
So it might be a good idea to give your monster a special personality/behaviour and not just go for cool looks only

#7

i think that the machine flesh theme has something more to do with the individual and its acceptation of the machine or how the machine has incorporated it, maybe this help…

#8

My next idea is to make a lady with wires coming out of her head!

:applause:

#10

… hey is that sarcasm??

hey love the pose with that huge dude with cables hanging fom him giving chase.

:buttrock:

#11

Very dynamical composition
especially a pose of the man!

#12

great action shot!!

it’s got tons of movement…i hope that translates into the colour piece…

#13

Looking good so far, D. Love the energy. Maybe give the man some sorta cybernetics, or whatever you want to call that kinda crap. I’m pullin for you… well besides mine:beer:

#14

Kick arse, this idea is classic, with balls.:buttrock:

#15

Great technique u use…

Also great capture of action:thumbsup:

Cheerz:beer:

#16

Sometimes these sketsches are almost more “Alive” then finished work`s…
… hope u will keep this energy in the milestones to come…

:applause:

#17

at this point it I’m well aware it all looks like crap. But that’s my workflow, start very very loose, and just keep on refining until I’m happy with it. By the way, thanks for the comments, I’ll do my best to preserve the energy of the sketch as I go forward.

#18

way to go:beer:

Yeah, I miss the big jaw, too. Very dynamic pose for both characters, I like it. This picture very good! Those narrow lines inside large black areas put some interesting texture to the picture. And they describe the motion very good! I’m looking forward for the next milestone!
