we also have a Mac like yours running windows, Xp,
some of the problems that we got is that you cant run win 64, look that is something related to the processor.
other tutorials on the web say that windows need to be install in the old ntfs file format, but we were able to set it with fat32 with no problem, and yes we still waiting for XSI for mac.
You can get XP64 to work with Mac/Bootcamp, it’s just not as straightforward as the x86 32bit version and not initially supported by the default Bootcamp/Drivers. Search Google for clues.
Why don’t you give vista 64bit a try? Its really underrated, and I’ve heard XP doesn’t officially support i7 processors.
I know softimage never planned on making XSI for OSX, but I don’t know autodesk’s plans.
