I recall reading somewhere that there would be an option to enable looping of dynamic constraints - was this implemented and if so, how do I work it? TIA

Not sure exactly what you mean by “looping”
If you mean giving the end of the constraint an IK target so that you can make a skipping rope or whatever, then you set targeting to on and select the bone/null that you want the chain to IK too.
If you mean to loop the movement of the constraint then you can use rmb in action or chor to bake the dynemics, then you could make the movement repeat as yuo usually would.
