Hello everyone. I’m going to produced a 90-minute animation. I have some questions about 3ds Max. Please help.
Whether at the large scene, Max will be closed?
Mental ray can do manage to this project?
Is not i use Pixar RenderMan?
Is there Pixar RenderMan for 3ds max?

Whether at the large scene, Max will be closed?
Maybe. That question is just too broad to say yes or no.

Mental ray can do manage to this project?
It’s not the renderer, it’s the person using it.

Is not i use Pixar RenderMan?
Assuming you want to know if you can use Renderman - no.

Is there Pixar RenderMan for 3ds max?

There’s no Renderman for 3ds Max.

hi,
Is it possible to render eith Iray Renderer and 3ds max like
Following images?

#5

For 90 minutes you are going to need a render farm, unless you can wait a year or two to render.
I recently made a 90 second animation and that took almost 2 weeks to render with a 3.4ghz quad core, even after compromising the quality quite a lot.
Perhaps look into something like Gelato that can render using Nvidia graphics cards, I don’t have any experience with Gelato though but may be worth looking into.

no problem for render farm.but for start project i need to select one Renderer Engine to render my project.
Is it possible to render with Iray Renderer and 3ds max like top images?
because i’m buying NVIDIA Tesla C2050 GPU Card to beter performance.
please help me.

You can render any type of images with any renderer. It will depend on your skills. I think vray is an awesome renderer, but its only because I’m using it, and I used with Maya.

And u definitely need a render farm for this project. Like at least 6 computers or you will wait forever to finish rendering. Plus with render farm you don’t have to stop using your main computer.

Not to put you down, but if you struggling with basics like choosing the render engine and how to set up and organize the workflow for a movie you shouldn’t start with 90 minutes but try a little less, like a short movie of maybe 2 or 3 minutes for laying out and testing a valid production pipeline.

Saves you a lot of work and frustration.

thats true, test your skills with a small project first, then go on to the bigger one.

Are you working on a team or alone? Are you going to work in this project on your free time? I know a couple of guys that did their projects on their free time, like 30 hours a week; and those projects took them at least a year to finish it and those were shorts of less than 10 minutes.

Take that in consideration.

Best wishes in your project!!!
