Sorry for my citicism!
The work has come up well although the photoshop effect has made it close to a 2D work.
I think a 3D work should have the capability of being animated but if it is mostly worked with photoshop it won’t be a 3d .I hope this won’t become a tradition cause 3d loses its value.
Photoshop editting was used just for slight edition which still I don’t approve but unfortunately it is widely used in works nowadays.:deal:

I think for a still this is alright though adel IMHO. It is art and 3d has not lost its value, I see 3d as another means of creating art, illustration whatever u want to call what we do. 3d software packages are just tools at our disposal to create master works that we seem to produce!( my work is no where near masterful so bear with me.) I am gonna stand on the other side of the fence on this one adel. But ur points are valid though!

Nice Logan dude, I think hair may need some work if u were to make it more realistic, But I really think it works here dude, Nice job though!

#64

Yes pal ,I agree it is a pretty good work and it’s nice but I say a work should be categorized as 2D if a lot of photoshop editing is done on it.I think a 3D work should have 3d usages.

I see Adel’s point to be honest but that doesn’t mean this isn’t an excellent piece of work, kind of looks a bit like how I’d imagine Wolverine to look in his retirement.

Love the subject. I’ve been a big fan of Wolvie and all of his interpretations since the early eighties. The characterization is right on the money and the skin texture is amazing. A couple of comments. His eyes are a bit small and proprtionately too far apart, his ear is sort of floating away from his head and the hair is a little too flat. The hair lacks the dimension that build atmosphere and lends to the illusion that the hair moves back over his head and not just framing his face. This happens alot when hair is done with too many strans. This refinement of the hair will also keep his head from appearing disproportionately tall when looking at the distance from his eyebrows to the top of his head. Bringing comic book characters to life is a tough thing because they’re not realistic to begin with but when it’s done right and there is a good balance between realistic and fantastic…WOW! I think that this piece is great and with a tweak here and there it could be awesome. I hope that this was helpful and not offensive.

#71

Its awesome man !!
I love it !!

#72

Really awesome! Parabéns!

If you’d like to make it more realistic, the eyes should get some more attention - they are too small and a little too far away…But of course, since this is an artistic creation reality isn’t the only source of inspiration  The way they were modeled certainly captures the character’s personality - so if realism isn’t the point just keep them that way…

I applaud the effort but IMO if you create a 3d object that is or has photoreal textures or aspects to it, then you need to make that object as photoreal in the modeling. by giving a certain style that takes away from what we as people relate too, it makes the object look off, not quite right or not polished enough. I think that by giving wolverine a more cartoon anatomy that he should have done the textures in a similar style.

#74

The hair is very thick, but it also gives a feel of a nasty, dirty char. Excellent work.

#75

Really good face modeling , full of life and energy.
Although The hairs looks very unnatural , especially the strends that fall on his forehead.
The texture is quite dull and Wolfy looks like as he was covered by ashes.I think you could also have paid more attention to background.
